As injured as we are we really are blessed that Northwestern and Penn State are our first two games in conference. 

Penn State is no slouch. Lamar Stevens will have his way. He’s a man.

Plus it’s a roadie and you know how I feel about road games. (Yes I know Penn State has a terrible home court advantage) but with officiating gifts, home court is home court. Just hope we get an anti homer ref.

Chambers is still coach. Agree Stevens is a beast but they just got beat by Bradley. The game will be close. The last 5 or 6 games have been 5 points or less if I’m remembering right

Good times. One grad transfer that would of helped would of been Trey porter who ended up going to Nevada. Athletic big would of fit in nicely. Don’t know how serious of an option he really was though

Agreed they are no slouch but definitely in the bottom half of the league. Same as a Northwestern.

Every single time I watch Steve Alford coached teams it blows my mind that anyone has ever wanted him to be the head coach here. He is horrible, great recruiter, but horrible coach

You are 100% correct but it always shocks me that’s the description of him. 25 years ago I think most would have thought he was going to be a great coach but ok recruiter. He was such a technical player with one of the greatest technical coaches ever but can not replicate that in his coaching

Could be nothing here but was checking point spread on Oddshark earlier. Oddshark lists injured players for each team and their status. Zach McBob is not listed....Nor is Devonte. Near everyone else, including Romeo, listed as questionable with the exception of Hunter who remains indefinite.

The only things that worry me about that game is roadie and threes. Penn State chucked 50 threes at the end of the Bradley game. If we defend the three I think Stevens can go off and we'd still beat them. They'll be scrappy like typical but outside of Stevens nobody really did anything against Bradley. Road games scare the crap out of me regardless.

i wonder what the effect of Schilling's departure had on the UCLA program specifically on their backcourt (I believe his backfill was Tyus Edney)?
