waitingon6 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Many people don't agree with me, but I think there's a place in the league for Swanigan. I love that guy as a player. Very unselfish player, made people around better. No reason to stay.Sent from my SM-G900V using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Hoosierfan2017 Posted April 6, 2017 Posted April 6, 2017 I'd really like to know where Dan is getting his dollar amounts because the amount of "legal" money schools can pay their players doesn't come close to what he's saying. HoosierAloha Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Can't schools provide up to a $3,000 per month "stipend" for athletes? Maybe he was getting $$ for housing as well? If he was a walkon couldn't he "work" for the university as well? There are many different ways money could go into his account, legally. Quote

Around $3,000 per year. This article says between $2,000 and $5,000. It varies from school to school depending on the cost of living there. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/money/2015/09/04/news/companies/extra-cash-college-athletes/index.html From what I understand the amount they get for rent is equal to what room/board is on-campus. At IU it's around $10,000 for the year. I'm sure they save some of that money by living together but I'm not seeing a way that they're pocketing the kind of money Dakich is talking about. Quote
WayneFleekHoosier Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 The "Way" is, don't trust the rules when it comes to NCAABB. Rules are meant to be bent and broken. It's not the same from one university to another. Or one sport to another. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners Quote

Racism against white players exists in basketball, particularly when you have a COACH that thinks like lavar ball..WayneFleek was witness to this for 6 years. It's lazy thinking.
