Bruce Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 If Purdue does indeed lose Swanigan, and Davis, and Hammons...... Ouch. Weak 2016 class too.I like Edwards, but it would be a WAY down year. We are so bad it has come to be that the only pleasure I get is to watch PU FAIL!Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

KingPG21 Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Don't know what Beilein did the last month or so. But he has those kids playing out of their minds recently. Think of what he could do if he was at a basketball first school that wanted to get fully behind him in everything. Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Kentucky up 33-32 at halftime. Alabama hanging tough with them. I'm not surprised Quote

That Burke, THJ, GR3, McGary team was a lot of fun to watch. KingPG21 1 Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Yeah Beilein is underrated as a coach. He usually gets his guys to play fundamentally sound basketball. And we all know that goes a long way in winning games Quote
Uspshoosier Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 UT Arlington down 13 with 6 min to go. I hope they come back because I think they could make noise in the tournament Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Hoosier Guy Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Michigan wins 84-77. Kentucky wins 79-74. Both of these were pretty good games. Coming up is NW vs Wisconsin and Vanderbilt vs Arkansas Quote
Uspshoosier Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Good finish on ESPNu Princeton and penn tied with 5 secs. This would be a brutal loss for Princeton. Undefeated in conference play and this is the first year Ivy League decides to have a 4 team tournament to decide at large bid. Hovadipo Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Illinois tried making Monty Williams one of the top paid coaches in the country. Lol I feel comfortable that they won't be dangerous anytime soon. Quote

I think they should try and pry Hoiberg away from Chicago, but that'll be an interesting vacancy to keep an eye on because they're rumored to also be targeting Cuonzo Martin, who is also on Mizzou's list. Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Monty Williams would have been an awesome hire. Idk if you have paid attention to the NBA but he may not have had a ton of success but the respect he has in the league is crazy. When he lost his wife my whole twitter feed was people saying sorry. Has connections to USA basketball as well. Popovich has already said if he were to call it quits he would want Monty to take over. That is the best reference any coach out there could use on their resume. He isn't one of those washed up guys who became an assistant after being a horrible coach. He would have made me worry about Illinois again I know that.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Hovadipo Posted March 11, 2017 Posted March 11, 2017 Just chucking money at a popular NBA guy isn't going to automatically make you a successful program. Quote
