Duke up 27-23 on Tennessee State.

And doing so, in part, because they were able to saddle one of Tennessee State's best players with an early third foul;

Allen is such an incredibly unlikable player. Not just because the ridiculous referees are in the bag for him, but because his reaction to an untouched missed layup is to react on the floor until he sees that he got his petulant way.

Yeah I did not really see anything when I was watching the play happen.

With all his phoney crap, he should be a soccer player in Brazil.  His tripping act would go over well there also.

On our way to the game last night we were listening to Fisch on the pre game show. He was reviewing the B1G and said that they have won 74% of their non conference games this year. I'm not sure what the percentage has been in the past so it's hard to judge but it does seem that the B1G is down overall. He didn't really comment beyond that.

Self didn't know who Curtis Jones was. He went off for 15 that game.

Did you watch the press conference Self had after? He said they were told to guard James, TB, & OG at will and let ANYONE else beat us. JBJ just hit huge contested shots or we lose. He planned for us lol a nationally televised game as big as it was. Your crazy if you truly think Self didn't scout us. We could use the excuse we didn't scout Martin as well knowing he was gonna hit every shot he took or the whole IPFW team as well. To be elite you scout and recruit specially Self. I'm still laughing. Any coach would have been happy to let Jones go off for 15 instead of OG or TB going off for James. It happens all the time. Bench guys don't get the attention others do and sometimes have huge games.

Wouldn't be the first coach to not know the names of some players. The year we beat North Carolina at home when we were ranked #1 after the game Roy said in his press conference we just let Cody and the little number 1 beat us

Talking to Kentucky fans is always fun. Last year Murray was the best player in college ball, even though anyone with two eyes would take Simmons and Ingram over him. This year its Monk even though Fultz is putting on a spectacle every night.

The struggles of MSU have definitely led to a down perception. Iowa is a shell of what they were last year and Maryland is largely unproven.

I got a chuckle out of the standings the other day. Minnesota at 11-1 and Rutgers at 10-1. Minnesota might be decent this year, as they have a pretty good freshman. Rutgers has played no one and their one loss was to a bottom-feeding ACC team (probably their best opponent).

NCAA Issues UNC New ANOA

School officials met with the Committee on Infractions on Oct. 28.

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. --- North Carolina has received another notice of allegations from the NCAA, according to multiple sources close to the situation.

This new notice - the third notice of allegations in the case - could be announced as soon as this week.

Sources confirm this new version reinstates aspects of the original first notice that were then altered for the amended notice. That amended notice, which was released on April 25, replaced the impermissible benefits allegation with a failure to monitor academic support charge and removed all references to the men’s basketball and football programs.

UNC met with the Committee on Infractions on Oct. 28 for what was deemed a procedural hearing to review UNC's response to the amended notice of allegations. UNC's Aug. 1 response forcefully argued that the NCAA wasn't following its own constitution and bylaws.

Should UNC opt to follow the protocol for the investigative process, this new amended notice of allegations resets the timeline for a resolution. The school has 90 days to respond to the notice, and the NCAA then has 60 days to provide a response to the COI, which then schedules a hearing to review and rule on the case.

The case dates back to June 2014, when the NCAA announced it was reopening its 2011 examination of academic irregularities in UNC's African and Afro-American Studies (AFAM) department, issuing the first notice of allegations on May 20, 2015.

Just enough time to let UNC have another run at the NC so thoughtful.

We beat Kansas and UNC. Don't tell me we aren't good enough to be in the CBS event over Ohio State.

Let's just say for instance that I'm a Wichita St fan. Which of the 2 games do I want to see between IU and Butler or Ohio St and UCLA in 2016-17 season. Without my crimson shades on, it's most definitely the OSU and UCLA game. I'm more impressed with UCLA than some of you. I think they are that good!

There isn't anything at all about this Crossroads Classic that appealing. What do they do to help it? Make it a 8 team field? Then who do you choose to fill in the other 4 spots? Have a play in tournament of some sorts?

About Minnesota, I got to checking out their roster and of the 9-10 players that actually play meaningful minutes. There is only 2 players that's under 6'5-6'6. With one being their PG. a lot of size/length on the floor for them at all times!

Anyone see Fran McCaffery throw a fit at the end of the game last night and walk off without shaking hands? I understand him being upset about the North Dakota player stealing the ball when there is nothing on the line and the game is basically over (3 sec left down by 11 points) but you don't walk off the court and you don't tell your players to do the same.
