We should be playing in this event. Regular games against UK, UCLA and UNC would do a lot more for us than Butler or Notre Dame. UK achieves more than us because they look beyond their own state.

Let's consistently be able to beat Butler and Notre Dame and then we can talk about putting our big boy pants on

We beat Kansas and UNC. Don't tell me we aren't good enough to be in the CBS event over Ohio State.

they count but it shows we aren't ready to compete at the level of UK and UNC every year on a neutral court. We can't consistently beat Butler on a neutral court. Losing to UCLA or UK 4 of 5 years isn't going to help us any.

We are 1-2 away from assembly hall this year. We had a fluke win against a team that didn't scout us.

There was also that win against UK last March…curious to hear why that means nothing either.

We've beaten UNC, Kansas and Kentucky all within this calendar year, two of them away from home. We won't get a chance to face UCLA because we're more concerned about whether we can beat Butler or Notre Dame. The people in charge of the CBS Sports Classic wanted us to play in the event. They obviously felt we were good enough. Instead it's 3 basketball bluebloods and a football school.

Self didn't know who Curtis Jones was. He went off for 15 that game.

Wouldn't necessarily calling it going off. Only had 11 until the last 20 sec when he hit 2 foul shots and baseball pass for a dunk for the last bucket of the game. Maybe crean didn't scout Kansas that game as well since mason went off for over 30

We can't count last years wins different players. That team struggled with neutral court wins also they just happened to get a big one at the end but they had a pretty pathetic record overall throughout the year.

Or Mason is a star where as Cujo is is a freshmen that Butler just shut down.
