Uspshoosier Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Creighton up 9 on Xavier with 4 to play. Quote
Uspshoosier Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Watson jr just took over. Creighton up 13 and they are going to end up winning against top 5 Xavier. Hopefully that will improve their rpi and make our win against them look a little better IUsafety 1 Quote
MartintheMopMan Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 still won. They had a stretch in 2nd half where they trailed. They were down 12 with under 4 to go and went on a big run. Good teams find a way to win close games. Jon agrees with me @jonrothstein Dayton comes back from 10 down in the second half to beat Duquesne by two. Flyers are special. The best team that no one is talking about. Yeah, that's the excuse Maryland keeps making too. Quote
coonhounds Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Silver lining. That PU win just strengthens our chance to land gameday on 2/20. Now we just need to do our part Thursday and Sunday.it hurts our chances of winning Sunday imo. Michigan state will be hungry with more rest mdn82, Defenserocks28 and Stuhoo 3 Quote

Yogi'sBicep Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Seth Greenberg picked MSU to win it all. 8th in the B1G right now? I question his decision making process. Also picked Oregon for final four. Quote

Also picked Oregon for final four. Probably has something to do with the fact that MSU is always playing their best at the end of the year. Valentine is an amazing player and a senior. Who cares what place they're in, in the conference right now. Oh and they're 1 game behind 4th place in the conference. That was an extremely convenient stat to leave out when just randomly mentioning they're 8th. It isn't like they are way back there. Crimson and Cream 1 Quote

They're 7th, btw my bad. I'm not saying they're terrible, but it's surprising for anybody to say they're going to win it all. Barely over .500% in the last month. Quote

HoosierAloha Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 Denzel has to get a better look. I believe that's about 3-4 times now he's settled for a long, contested jumper at the end of the game to win it or force OT. Quote

You took a stat out of context, that is my issue. They are 1 game out of fourth place. Talking about them being in 7th/8th and leaving out where they actually are in terms of positioning, which isn't an issue is just taking a stat way out of context. Plus we still have another 6/7 games left in conference, depending on who you are talking about. Not to mention they have an extremely favorable schedule. Us at home, OSU twice, Wisconsin at home, and Penn State and Rutgers. And once again they historically are always playing they're best at the end of the year. Quote

Uspshoosier Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 True, lol. Also maybe I don't attention a lot of the time, but are the conference standings always this close? Even at this pointthe year we won the big regular season if we would of lost to Michigan on that last day there would of been a 4 way tie for first that year (iu, Ohio st, Michigan, Michigan st). Since Michigan lost they ended up the 5th seed in the BTT ( wisky had the tie breaker for the 4th seed). I always found it interesting that they were a 5 seed in the BTT tourney compared to the 4 seed they ended up with in the big tourney. Like u said earlier standings can be misleading. I'm sure Michigan was just fine finishing 5th in the big 10 knowing where they eventually ended up. Michigan st will end up going further in the tourney then the teams that finish better then them Quote
