Fed up.

Does anybody else feel like having a basketball program compete in 2 post-season tournaments in 6 seasons and a football team that will play in 0 bowl games in 4 seasons, is acceptable at a University like this? Is their another school besides Purdue that is this incompetent? How much mediocrity will us IU fans accept? I have spent a lot of money and time watching the same old crap every year. Fred Glass is more unimpressive by the week. Has he accomplished anything in regards to winning since he has been there? You guys should be fed up as well.

While I agree with you, I have chosen to start a thread based on suggestions to be successful this year in basketball. I hope you give us your thoughts and suggest maybe making a similar one over at football. Its not gonna change anything, but it keeps things basketball or football related without always stating the obvious. For me its up to Tom Crean to get it done this year. The tensions are obvious between both pro Crean and anti Crean camps here. Maybe this will take some pressure off until game time, but this won't help Hoosier football fans. The debates will soon start again once the games start playing.

Well, our baseball team went to a College World Series and our men's soccer team won it all. Those were fun.

But yeah, our major revenue sports have left a lot to be desired. We've missed the tournament 6 times in the last 11 years and been to one bowl game in the last 20. That is embarrassing.

No one's forcing you to watch IU athletics. And considering how well all of our other sports are doing, Glass seems to be doing a pretty good job. IUMS is about to make another title run. IUBase is going to be good as always. The quidditch team is doing what they do. I'm getting good vibes from IUBB and IUFB is still working some kinks out. And I know I'm leaving out a bunch of our other programs. Just step back from the ledge a little bit and enjoy watching IU sports and not put your entire life into it. They are just games, after all.

How dare Glass make Tre Roberson transfer and hurt Nate Sudfeld!

I hear ya, I really do.  I honestly have come to think that our football team is just jinxed.  As far as basketball goes, Tom Crean did turn us around and got us to be number 1 in the country and two straight sweet 16's and put some guys in the League, so i'm willing to give him another year.  And not an excuse but the simple fact is the Big Ten is murderers row, man.  It's a tough league, where everybody, well for the most part, is a tough out.  The other teams in Conference wanna win too, and even though we think all guys should come to IU, some of our rivals have a lot to offer too!  So i'm willing to be realistic and just hope that last year was a small speed bump.  I will always support IU basketball thru the good times and bad times, but my expectations appear to be slightly less than some other IU fans. Do I want to win?  Yes, but do i want to sell my soul to the devil like some teams do in this era of College Sports to win?  No Thanks....

I dont think any of r fans want to sell r soul to win but being competitive and being able to make simple inbound plays would b nice. I also would b happy if when we call a timeout if instead of looking lost and doing something stupid they look like they have a set play and run it effectively
