UNC has the ultimate one. Jordan. That’s a lifetime deal there and they have some good players right now with Ed Davis, Reggie Bullock, Vince Carter, Harrison Barnes and a couple others. They don’t have the stars like they used to. But theirs is based on MJ and that’s enough really. It is MJ. UCLA has Westbrook, Love, 2 Holidays, LaVine, Ball.

Lol, recruits aren't going to UNC because of Jordan........ Ed Davis, Harrison Barnes, those are your examples? Okay, sure, whatever. Carter is valid, the others are nothing but role players just like the IU guys in the NBA

You don’t think players are going to UNC still because of Jordan? Not only going to where Jordan went but also getting free Jordan brand stuff. Had Jordan went to IU, we could run some recruiting through that easily. “Wanna be like Mike?”

Dude its been 30+ years. Jordan's brand is everywhere and more than widely accessible for highly ranked recruits with the shady recruiting crap, They're beyond delusional if they sell anything like wanna be like Mike you need to go to UNC. No current recruit is going to UNC because Jordan went to UNC

I mean, the only reason they were winning was LeBron as well. Lue was not a good coach.

Apparently the Cavs higher ups wanted the younger guys, specifically Sexton, to play more. Too bad Sexton has been just meh so far in the NBA. I guess just throw him to the wolves and hope he learns how to shoot? That is how it works right?

Cavs are way better than their record and performances. Ty Lue was just a trash coach saved by LeBron and Kyrie. Sexton, Osman and Hood. They need to get rid of Korver, Smith, Thompson and Love. Love in the right system is an All-Star talent. Lue didn’t have an actual system and had no clue what he was actually doing. They hired him because he’d listen to LeBron. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a college coach get mentioned.

I actually think the Cavs have the worst roster in the league...

Raptors lost their first game of the season. Neither OG nor Kawhi played; both listed as Inactive.  OG's listed as day-to-day for personal reasons most likely related to the recent passing of his father.  Kawhi simply got a rest day.  Pacers lost but Vic with 21 pts., 9 reb. and 7 asst.; however he was only 9-24 from the field.  It was the Pacers' second unit that did them in last night.

Man Yogi's minutes are way down... Shocked that he ended up behind Frank Mason.

Should have stayed in Dallas. Just chasing money rather than fit.

His minutes would've gone down in Dallas too. I don't think anyone thought he'd be behind Mason. He probably never should've been consistently playing almost 30 mpg like he was in Dallas though either.

Rockets off to a horrendous start and EG with a godawful shooting night.  Rockets not helped by the fact Harden is out with a hamstring injury until early November.

In a head-to-head match-up of IU guys, Vic and the Pacers went on the road and beat Vonleh and the Knicks 107-101.  Vic won the scoring battle but Vonleh with a nice double double of 14 and 10.  I still have a really hard time relating Vonleh to IU, but he seems to have found a good niche with the Knicks.

I really wish McMillan would play Holiday. McMillan is going to screw us over by not giving Holiday and Leaf any playing time. Would be nice to see Anigbogu and Johnson too. Ever notice how the Spurs and Warriors give young guys random playing time? Random starts? And when those players are needed, they step up. Yet the Pacers have good talent and it is just being wasted on the bench. Holiday is Collisons replacement. It is time to play him.

I just don't think Leaf belongs in the NBA. The game is too quick for him IMO. I hope I'm wrong and he becomes a major contributor in time for the Pacers but I'd be really shocked if he's still in the league in 2-3 years.

Leaf is getting a few minutes but he's just too much of a defensive liability and not a strong enough offensive player to make up for that. As for Holiday, who do you play him for? It seems the goal is clearly to let him sit and watch and learn this year and then next year he'll likely be the backup point guard and hopefully eventual starter. It's nice to develop young guys, but this team is in "win now" mode and that means DC and Cojo getting all the pg minutes.
