Well that rule should be trippy if you catch my drift.

Finally, the "Hostile Act" standards have been expanded to give referees greater freedom to use replay to determine whether punishment should be given to players or coaches for physical encounters, according to the NBA's release.

Pre-season action last night and Mr. Ferrell had quite an opening act for his new team.  30 minutes and 26 points on 9-14 FG's and 6-9 on 3's.    Troy with his new team the Pelicans had 11 pts. in 14 min. but was just 4-11 from the field.   And Vonleh also with a new team this year, the Knicks, had 8 pts. in 12 min. and 5 reb.  Am I the only one that has a really hard time associating Vonleh with IU basketball?

No, I often forget all about him until I see his name. He was only here one year and it didn't even seem like that long.

Last night in 23 min., Cody with 15 pts. on 6-9 FG and 3 reb.  EG with 13 pts. in 26 min. on 3-5 FG's (all 3's) and 4-4 FT's.  OG was a DNP for his 2nd pre-season game likely related to the passing of his father as Joe DeLow told us last Saturday.

Last night Vonleh scored 2 pts and had 2 reb for the Knicks in 5 min. of action.

I think Edmond Sumner could end up being a solid bench player for the Pacers. I’ve been eager to see him get healthy.

Thursday night pre-season:  Vic with 24 pts. in 25 min. on 9-18 FG's; 4-10 on 3's; 4 reb.  in a 110-100 win over EG and the Rockets.  EG with 12 pts. in 27 min. on 3-7 FG's; 4 reb; 6 TO's.  Kings faced the Lakers but Yogi was a DND -  Injury/illness

Friday night:

Another DNP for OG in the aftermath of his father's death.  TB with 6 pts. and 2 reb. in 5 min. for the Wizards.   Troy with only 1 min. for the Pelicans.  Vonleh with 10 pts. and 11 reb. in 13 min. for the Knicks.  Yogi was a DNP Coach Decision for the Kings.

Just a single Sunday pre-season game involving an IU guy.  EG with 5 pts. in 20 min. on 2-8 FG's; 1-6 on 3's and 3 reb.

In the aftermath of his father's passing, last night was OG's first pre-season action.  Glad it was a pre-season game for Vic, because his stats for last night are uglier than PUke Pete.

Precarious time for Towns. This is the first point I've seen him start to receive some criticism...this time last year, he was the Golden Boy and the future of NBA big men. Now it seems some are doubting a bit. Reading that story, I flashed back to that Kobe interview in a parking lot somewhere when he tore into Andrew Bynum...I'm not a Kobe hater but I don't think that guy was ever the same and he certainly never reached his potential. That's not all Kobe's fault by any means but it might light even more of a fire under the TWolves to get Butler out of there, before things escalate and maybe it does start to impact Towns negatively.
