Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 D-League regular season ends on Saturday. Below is an explanation of how D-League playoffs are structured. Barring the unexpected both the Mad Ants (Zeisloft) and the Raptors 905 (Sheehey & Watford) will participate. The following playoff format is in place for the 2016-17 NBA Development League season: • The NBA D-League Playoffs will be three rounds, each consisting of a best-of-three series • The top individual team in each of the four divisions (Atlantic, Central, Southwest and West) on the basis of regular season record will automatically qualify for the NBA D-League Playoffs as the “Division Winners” • In addition, the top two teams in each Conference on the basis of regular season record regardless of division, other than the Division Winners, will also qualify for the NBA D-League Playoffs as the “Wildcard Teams” • In the First Round, the Wildcard Teams host the first game, and the Division Winners host the second game and, if necessary, the third game • In the Second Round and the Third Round, the Team with the lesser regular season record hosts the first game and the Team with the better regular season record hosts the second game and, if necessary, the third game First Round Opponents for the First Round games will be determined, as follows: • Division Winner in the Eastern Conference with the best regular season record versus Wildcard Team in the Eastern Conference with the worst regular season record (Game 1) • Division Winner in the Eastern Conference with the second-best regular season record versus Wildcard Team in the Eastern Conference with the second-worst regular season record (Game 2) • Division Winner in the Western Conference with the best regular season versus Wildcard Team in the Western Conference with the worst regular season record (Game 3) • Division Winner in the Western Conference with the second-best regular season record versus Wildcard Team in the Western Conference with the second-worst regular season record (Game 4) Second Round (Semifinals) During the Second Round (Semifinals): • The winner of the Game 1 will play against the winner of Game 2 • The winner of Game 3 will play against the winner of Game 4 Third Round (Finals) • During the Third Round (Finals), the winners of the Second Round games will play one another Quote

Walking Boot of Doom Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 This is a relative high point for Indiana players in the NBA right? Really have not had much success in our history, but we have a solid group of young guys playing right now. Not sure if any of them will ever be All-Stars, but a solid group. Crimson and Cream Posted March 29, 2017 Posted March 29, 2017 This is probably the most pumped up I've been all season for Pacers basketball. For the antics alone this is worth it. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Devin Harris picked up 2 early technicals and was ejected so more playing time for Yogi and he responded nicely although the Mavs couldn't get the win. OKC went down in OT despite Westbrook's 57 pts., 13 reb., and 11 assists. Cody fouled out in only 27 minutes of action and was scoreless. No D-League games scheduled. 03.29.17 Season W/L W/L Min. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 1, 2017 Posted April 1, 2017 Gordon with I believe his 4th start in a row after having come off the bench for much of the season. I don't follow the Rockets closely enough to know if it's because of an injured player or just a roster shake-up. OKC had the Spurs down early but couldn't hang on. Interesting tidbit that Westbrook played 37 minutes with a -10; Vic played 33 minutes with a +13. Triple doubles just don't seem that important when you can't carry your team to a W. 03.31.17 Season W/L W/L Min. Pts.
