I know some of you didnt like my idea but why let him go somewhere for nothing? Bird is assessing market on him but the LA rumors are gonna hurt his value knowing he could bolt after next year. If you still think their getting the Nets pick, brown, bradley or Crowder your crazy. I hope Bird gets the right deal for him though cuz it may set them back even more if he waits till the offseason. The longer a team can get him the more time they will have to convince him to resign. IUfan_Charlie Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I really think the Pacers are going to trade Paul George. PG is my favorite player but if he's going to walk after next season we need to deal him. If we wait til next year to do it we won't get nearly as much in return, or he could walk like KD and we get nothing. I wouldn't hate Jaylen Brown, Bradley or Crowder, and the 2017 Nets first for PG. Larry Bird said in presser he was assessing offers for PG. Rumor is Celtics dont want to give up what they were willing to for Butler for PG and Bird wont do it without it. Get on twitter go read most any major nba guy or greg doyel. They ARE fielding calls man I know you have been against it the entire time, but it may happen. I honestly hope they keep him just so they lose him after nest year and are left with nothing. He isnt staying in Indy man. If he doesnt get traded now it is cause they didnt get what they wanted and I guarantee they revisit it in offseason. Your name is after PG and your picture so I get he is your favorite player and it sucks but I was pissed when AI was traded to the Sixers but it was time or we would have got nothing instead of something. Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 Look at dates and times of the articles. Heck my whole twitter feed is about PG being traded and I follow only Doyel and Hutch w ties to pacers. It will come down to who the Celtics can get for less, PG, Butler or Drummond. Woj has said it plenty today too that the Celtics could get any of them if they were willing to give up a little more than they wanted. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

You can take that the positive way and assume they can but if your realistic you know it isnt gonna happen that quick. Like I said it may happen may not but it is really up to the Celtics IMO. If it reaches offseason more and more teams will get involved. Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote

Its the best offer being floated out there. Most of the trades out there basically want the Celtics to get PG or Butler but not really give anything up. Quote
Yogi's Picnic Basket Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 The Celtics are offering their 2017 pick, Amir Johnson and Jaylen Brown for Jimmy Buckets. Although it isnt bad value it doesnt help the pacers as much as it would most teams. They have Teague and the pick would be a pg most likely. Fultz could play off ball but your hurting his progress. Brown then slides into the 3 to get minutes. That is a very short 1-3. If the Celtics had a young legit 3 or small ball 4 that would make it better. I truly think Bird doesnt pull the trigger even tho he should if Boston made it Crowder, Bradley and the top 3 pick and one of their overseas guys from last years 1st round but they dont want too for some reason. Isiah will get max dollars soon so their chance at a big 3 and a solid supporting cast is only open for a year and a half. Im just happy all these big names are being talked about now whether one ends up getting traded is the main thing. We shall find out tomorrow at 3.Sent from my LGLS676 using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
Trish Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I really don't think PG gets traded. Larry is too stuck up and will probably demand too much from the Celtics or any team going after PG.And honesty, is PG even worth that much? He's about to be a free agent in 2018. He's had a very up and down season. Honestly, I don't know if I give up that Nets pick for PG.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Yogi's Picnic Basket 1 Quote
Hoosier Guy Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 I think PG has had one foot out the door this entire season. If he's not traded, I think it'll be because of the other team not wanting to give up much to get him. I do like PG, but if he's not completely committed to playing for this franchise, I think you have to trade him. You can't lose him and get nothing in return ThompsonHoosier and Class of '66 Old Fart 2 Quote

The people expecting Bradley a top 3 pick brown and crowder are crazy. Be happy with 2 of those and dont look back. If you got Markelle Fultz which is probably who they get with the pick that is pushing it. Look at it like this, this draft class is so called one of the best in awhile. No Lebron talent but it isnt badl one bit. If you go back the Cavs probably get any player they want for that pick alone. PG will be a Laker if he stays with Pacers till the end of contract. The odds of those picks turning out to be as good as PG? Slim. Better get picks, a prospect, and a proven player in a deal. I think PG is more likely to be moved on draft night than today. Quote

Doubt he is moved today...... but there is too much getting leaked from his inner circle, and unless there is some huge turn around on the season I don't see how we keep him past next year. I'm hoping if the season continues on the path it is that PG is straight up and tells them he isn't resigning long term, which is what his inner circle is saying Quote
