Dude will end up being more than just and Indiana Hoosier legend if he plays like this for a few more years, he will become an Indiana Pacers legend.

If he plays like this for the remainder of his career he’s gonna be more than just a Pacers legend. This year has been unreal.

Fieldhouse to lose Bankers Life moniker after insurer declines to renew naming deal

The 18,165-seat sports and entertainment venue known as Bankers Life Fieldhouse isn’t going anywhere, but the moniker will disappear next year.

CNO Financial Group Inc., which is the parent company of the Bankers Life line of insurance products, has decided not to extend its naming rights deal for the downtown stadium after it expires on June 30, 2019.

Officials with CNO and Pacers Sports & Entertainment, which operates the facility, announced the decision on Tuesday morning. Although the facility is owned by the Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board, PS&E has the rights to sell the naming sponsorship.

The 20-year deal extends back to 1999. Carmel-based insurer Conseco Inc. inked the initial $40 million agreement for naming the fieldhouse, which opened in 1999. Conseco changed its name to CNO in 2010.

The venue remained as Conseco Fieldhouse until 2011, when CNO decided to rebrand the facility for its Chicago-based Bankers Life and Casualty Co. subsidiary.

Pacers Sports & Entertainment plans to pursue a future naming rights sponsor for the venue, according to the announcement. CNO left open the possibility of being involved in the stadium in another capacity.

"CNO has been an outstanding team partner since day one of our relationship, with a tremendous impact on both Pacers Sports & Entertainment and the community," said Rick Fuson, president and chief operating officer of PS&E. "We thank CNO Financial and Bankers Life for years of dedicated partnership and we look forward to the next phase of our relationship."

I still call it conseco anyway. Probably will after it gets a new name.

Vic has recorded a steal in 54 consecutive games and blew by Ron Artest a/k/a  Metta World Peace's previous Pacer record of 40 consecutive games.  Star article is a collection of trivia about his streak and what it will take to break Chris Paul's NBA record of 108 games.

Have to think he's headed for All-NBA second team, Most Improved, and All-defensive first team.

And he and Sabonis have now been tied to two huge lopsided trades....first the Thunder fleeced the Magic, flipping one year of Serge Ibaka for Oladipo, the 11th pick in 2016 (which was Domantos Sabonis) and Ersan Ilyasova (a 10 and 7 guy in Philly despite only playing 24 mpg) for one year of Serge Ibaka.....and then the Thunder flipped Sabonis and Oladipo for what will probably be one year of Paul George.

Holy, Moly!  It was fun watching Vic today!

I know what you mean. It was great watching Vic and the guys dominate for the majority of the game.  For me, I've enjoyed watching this team this season. Since they were on national tv only once, they have not had the national exposure. It was a nice introduction.

Yeah, last year I broke down and bought NBA League pass just so I could watch Victor, but didn't want to spend the money this year so I was forced to follow the game on Bleacher Report and highlights.  We do get the NBA network and saw a game occasionally when they'd have free previews.  This was great!  Hope they can keep it up.  I always root for whoever is playing LeBron, but this makes it even better!
