I agree with a lot of what you wrote except he was just saying that Troy should not be our backup point and he shouldn't for a lot of reasons. There is a difference between him slashing to the hoop and being our prominent ball handler

When Troy is the backup point guard, then it's a fair complaint. But we all know that isn't going to happen. There are 5 guards in front of him.

well I hope he isn't. Crean tried hollowell there briefly last year and Yogi suggested that Troy might be getting time there as well so it's not out of the question.

Yeah, I wasn't shooting down what you said or anything. I just don't see how there's going to be any chance for that to happen considering Yogi will play 34+ and Blackmon and Johnson probably 26-28 not to mention Stan. I'm talking in terms of primary ballhandling.

My guess on what Yogi mentioned is inverting the offense to bring the 4 out top. Crean's done that kind of thing in the past, especially with smaller teams. We'll see. Probably just splitting hairs.

Fair. Like you said, we have plenty of other options at the 1 so it is unnecessary to force Troy in there. Troy can get the ball and make a move from the top of the arc but when I see him bringing the ball up the court regularly I will be concerned

Crean will likely move Troy around because of his versatility.

But---no doubt we will be counting on Troy's rebounding this year!  Wherever he plays---he will be counted on to crash the boards.

And several of those patented put-back dunks will be just fine too!  :ninja:

I don't know why I even look at certain other sites and their premium boards which often have teasers----but I read today comments about potential secret scrimmage games/practices IU may have----and UNC was brought up.  Could be and likely is bull----but IU does this from time to time with other schools----anybody hearing anything?

ESPN had a list of these "secret" scrimmages. We weren't on it.

Another comment about last year's chemistry from Yahoo sports.

''I felt like last year, sometimes it was in the heat of the moment where people didn't want to hear things from some people,'' sophomore guard Stanford Robinson said without divulging names. ''This year, I feel like everyone is listening.''

@JucoRecruiting: Ray Kasongo finished with 18 points and 13 rebounds in 16 minutes yesterday for Southern Idaho in a win over Impact Academy.

Pretty solid

I think we end up with him next year.   I think Bryant or another top line guy is plan A and Kasongo is Plan B.  What do I know though?
