He never learns. Every tweet turns into a crean slaughter fest on twitter. He should just delete it. I know he reads it.

But he doesn't. He tweeted that he doesn't, so that has to be true, right?

AAU has no doubt ruined some of what was great about college ball. These players get national attention as sophomores in high school. The BIG traditional state school isn't revered like it was in the past. NOW ESPN is the modern kids version of that. That means Duke, UNC, Kansas, Syracuse, UK and the few others that ESPN drools over are the premiere target programs in these kids minds. It's a national mind frame versus regional.

I'm sure it was a random day that he chose to put this question out there. But, his timing is impeccably bad for some things, why on the day of the National Championship did he think it wouldn't be a bad idea to do this.

It used to mean making the NCAA tournament was an absolute minimum expectation, now it's a pat on the back and "way to go, great job".  It used to mean the Sweet 16 wasn't that impressive, now you get rings for it (and a ludicrous extension).  It used to mean results, now it's excuses for the lack of results.

If I were to email I'd say something like:  It means playing for the name on the front.  It means knowing individual recognition will come with team success.  It means knowing why we wear the candy stripes.  It means not giving up until the final buzzer sounds.  It means opponent seeing 'Indiana' and knowing it will be a war.

What DID it mean to play at Indiana?

I know, right? I mean, the program is done! Its been...1 year since we won the B1G and were ranked #1. Shut it down. We had a good run.

Jesus, people.

I was referring to AAU and one and dones not really caring what it means to play anywhere. We are losing recruits to schools we never would have 10 years ago. Kids aren't buying in like they used to

I agree with this...

the game has changed, and more importantly, the pathway to the NBA has taken precedence to the name on the

front of the jersey...

pretty sad, actually.
