Luke Fischer

Good luck getting serious PT now. Marquette just picked up top 10 2015 recruit Henry Ellenson. 6'10" more talented version of Fischer.

By the sound of it, sounds like your not as happy from this Creaning as the others you have mentioned. Funny how things work out. Crean got Creaned.

You're literally trying to pick fights. But unfortunately you don't think before you speak. Why would Crean force out a 6'11" top 100 player half way into the season? Funny how your logic fails so often.

Call me crazy (Oh wait---you already have)----but I think the Fischer move could end up being a blessing if it made Hanner work harder to be the man in the middle.  Hanner has all the tools---he just needs some confidence and playing time to learn the 5 and he is going to get that this year.  I predict Hanner shows up big time this year!

Fischer had nothing to do with "Creaning" at all. Kid was homesick. Don't really understand the personal digs taken in that post

Nothing personal at all. Responded to quote of good luck getting playing time. Kid left on his own accord as I know he didn't get Creaned. It was the exact opposite. Fisher Creaned Crean or reCreaned or however anyone wants to put it.

I've never understood the people who hate on a kid for being homesick. It's the first time in his life that he lived away from home for an extended period of time. It's not like you know you'll struggle being away from home.

Many of the reasons we all chose our college whether you like it or not is proximity to home. I wanted to go to IU obviously, and it worked out very nicely for me since I lived 1.5 hours away.

I absolutely loved having my parents come down to visit or take me to dinner and be down for tailgates. I was never homesick, and I don't think I would be if I went to Florida or somewhere further, but I wouldn't really know for sure until I was there...

People need to chill on that argument. It's that kid's life, it wasn't working out so he made a change for himself and his family.

I think that Luke Fischer is a pretty good kid, and will be an excellent D1 high major player.

He was homesick, and he didn't appreciate the vibe on the team last year. Most of us would agree with him that last year's team chemistry was not good.

I agree with your post in general. Everybody is different and he's welcome to do what's right for him, I'd just question whether he really gave it enough time. That's the only thing for me, is did he really give it a chance?

Just from some loose sources I heard he caused a rift with Sheehey, Etherington, Fischer, and Yogi. Not sure how much of that is true but obviously two of those players left so...

I've heard pretty much the same thing.

Just to clarify, I'm a little bitter he left after hardly even giving the program a chance, but I understand that being homesick is very difficult to overcome. Not blasting the kid for being homesick, just disappointed he didn't give it more of a shot. From all the mumblings we've heard, I feel as though Hollowell played into this more than we all think... Really would have been a game changer this year and last year to have him on the squad.

Fischer made his decision---he and we have to live with it.  I've moved on and look forward to seeing what Hanner, DD, and Holt will bring. The point that gets lost in all of this back and forth is that everyone blames Crean for everything----but sometimes kids just leave---his departure left us scrambling and I personally think Crean recovered about as good as possible under the circumstances.

Hope Fischer does well---but my team is on the floor!
