I really hope he doesn't go overseas or stay at his prep school one more year.

 

I would love to have him at IU, but I really just want to see this kid play in the NCAA (anywhere except UK). He is going to be a treat to watch and I really do not want to commit to watching 20-30 UK games. Him coming to IU would be icing on the cake.

 

I think somewhere in previous posts they say the Freshmen rule is so that the NBA can have a free year of advertising for it's future stars. I would love every minute of him being advertised.

I don't see him going overseas. Mudiay went to China but showed how messed up the system is over there. He got injured, and immediately got cut from his team. They ended up bringing him back at the end of the year though but still didn't play a whole season

I said "man why don't they pass the ball to Zeller" he had to practically just take the ball to score and no one could ever get him the ball in he post....just my thoughts

agree but Thon fashions himself as a Durant type. Wants to be a 3 not a 5, although at 7 feet he's going to have to play the post.

Wow just watched the video and you are right about him being that 3..man this guy has some handles and that spin move is just sick! I thought he was more of a 5...Really haven't seen a lot of video on him...such a nice looking shot.

Yes. I've seen him once in person and several times on TV and he has a lot of work to do. For 2015 I would say he's a top 15 player but he is not on the Ben Simmons/Jaylen Brown level...yet.

Yeah, he may be a great prospect, Meyer did say that much.  Posters are building this kid up like he walks on water based off of a highlight tape, but highlight tapes can make pretty well anyone look good because that's the point of them.  I don't give a crap how a highlight tape looks, I care what the actual game tape shows.  I remember on another board some posters thought Hanner could be one and done because of his highlights, I saw him play and knew it would be a long road for him.  Someone like Meyer saying the product doesn't match the hype says more to me than any highlight tape can.
