I always think it funny how we really like his mom when she is helping keep IU in the hunt and then as soon as we appear out of now we think she is trouble.

I've been saying that about her from the beginning and I know others have too. His recruitment is all about her and she makes that pretty obvious.

The common theme recently was that Mom liked IU and was keeping us in the hunt.

That doesn't change anything I just said.

People here were critical of her early but when the news came out that they kept us in the mix there were a lot of posters who argued that his mom was actually pushing for us. There were few critical posts of her then and as we start to look out of it again then angst against mom comes back.

You may have been critical all along but I have seen the opinion sway back and forth.

That horse has been beat and dragged through the dirt so much, everyone's tired of hearing it. Theres plenty of more appropriate threads for it too. Zimm hasn't really been realistic for IU for some time anyway, I'm glad the coaches are focusing resources elsewhere.

Well it was from 8 days ago, so yeah. Of course it's old now. It was very relevant when it was posted.

Let us look at some facts and hope that Stephen and his mother do the same.

1st, IU is a great school with a great path to a great education.  The system that Crean and his staff use to ensure that the players get that education and degree seems to be working considering that he has had four straight 1000 ratings.

There is a path that will get that degree in three years as did Olapedo and if Stephen wants to go to the NBA before that, he can look at the path that Zeller took to get his in two.

2nd - Here is a top ranked school - INDIANA - with all its history in basketball coming back after being blown out 4-5 years ago and needing a center/big guy to solidify the next few years and be going after the Championship.  His name would go down in the memoirs of IU history.   With his talent at center and the other guys we already have and coming up next year, the sky is the limit.

It would seem to me that any big with that talent would see the writing on the wall and grasp the ring for the above two things.  Playing time would be all he wanted.  This position is what a big man dreams about from his early days up to now.

Stephen, take a good look at what is here for you.

Well then we know who to bring in to help.
