Essentially we will know by the 22nd one way or another even if he hasn't announced by then  If he doesn't attend HH it's probably not us.

I said to someone in a PM that I knew (or strongly believed) it wasn't this weekend bc his Mom's wedding was yesterday. So "soon" probably means the upcoming week or the following one.

One or two of their sources also think he is UCLA bound. No one there thinks he is Illini bound.

This recruitment has left me guessing a lot. At one point is was us, then switched to Michigan, which I don't believe was ever serious, then UCLA, then IU again and now its a toss up between us and UCLA. I saw Peegs made an article about UCLA having a strong shot at him as well. Honestly the Bamba comment on IG made me excited lol, but their kids and it could've also been taken as a joke. I think the longer the recruitment goes its UCLA honestly, but if he decides soon or commits to Hoosier Hysteria I think he's ours. Scruggs just posted on twitter to stay tuned, so losing both the two big in state targets back to back and so close would cause chaos amongst our fan base lol. No doubt it would suck, but I trust Crean will find a way!!

It would definitely be a big loss to lose him to UCLA, but I remain optimistic we can get him.

UCLA's situation may benefit him slightly more since they have more bigs than we do, allowing him to play the 3.  Although I'm not sure if T.J. Leaf will play the 3 or the 4 for them, I think I remember reading that he sees himself as more of a 3 than a stretch 4 or power forward.
