A few missed calls but there’s been twice as many instances of ILL players just dribbling it off their foot. Lights seem too bright for em Quote
Asha’man Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Illinois lack of athleticism in their weakness. They have great size but they don’t have the quickness and it’s showing. Quote
RoadRage Posted April 4 Author Posted April 4 I look for Illinois to make a strong run and take the lead....not sure they can hang on, but this one is far from over! Quote
fwgreenway Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Illinois could stand to speed up the game. Not able to get enough control. But making open shots would help. Quote

Hasn’t affected them all year. They’ve hurt themselves a lot today. Missed FTs, bunnies and brainless turnovers. Not hitting from outside. UConn defense has been rock solid. Quote

Shooter Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Everything going UConn's way. They are banking in threes and getting crazy rolls. Everything for Illinois is in and out. Just one of those nights BtownStrength, JF87 and RoadRage 3 Quote
BtownStrength Posted April 4 Posted April 4 My biggest gripe in college basketball is how different the refs allow contact from half to half. 2nd half they call the ticky tack stuff that they let slide in 1st. It happens so often it almost seems intentional Hovadipo and BGleas 2 Quote

They are struggling to take UConn off the dribble bc they lack quickness and it’s allowing UConn to not have to get into rotation for open shooters and assists. Maybe UConn tires out or ILL can get hit from 3. If not this one is over. The refs suck too. Quote
Stuhoo Posted April 4 Posted April 4 Illinois with a fair bit of hero ball. Not much passing and cutting. UConn has them a little flustered, but they’re still within striking range. If the next run is for UConn it’s over. Asha’man and Home Jersey 2 Quote

This has been a weird game, these teams are much more even than this score and the difference today has little to do with athleticism. Look at Illinois schedule this year, hung with and beat plenty of teams that are more athletic than them. Illinois offense is elite, they could absolutely win a title coming into today str8baller 1 Quote
Home Jersey Posted April 4 Posted April 4 UConn's second unit is maintaining the lead pretty comfortably lol. Finish strong and an Arizona win will make tonight a perfect night of basketball Pagoda and Jeff Flabjohns 1 1 Quote
Jeff Flabjohns Posted April 4 Posted April 4 9 or 10 of the 14 missed Illinois threes were wide open looks. Tough 4/18 overall Quote
str8baller Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Hurley with a TO up six at 6min mark. Interesting call. Quote
RoadRage Posted April 5 Author Posted April 5 Eventually the bounces have to start going Illinois' way...man I have never seen such bad luck! Quote
