Yea Ben McCollum will definitely do much worse with players he recruits and develops at Iowa than the players he recruited and developed in D2 and at Drake. Lol

He can do the same and still be a .500 coach in conference.

Not at this level of basketball. Let’s see how he does now that Drake players are all going to be gone. I remember Mike Davis making it further than he did. There have been lots of tournament successes and then flame outs. Much more than the other way around. The regular season is a better barometer of how well a coach did over a single elimination tournament. And he was .500 in conference with little NIL compared to his peers.

Not on this level, but he has won as a head coach!  Just like Cig...Some guys have "IT", some guys don't!  You are right, we shall see next year!

I still have hope for CDD next year.

I agree with everything you said. Next year won't be make or break for McCollum though. He is 44 and in his second year of D1. He has plenty of time to surpass his current ceiling of the elite 8 with a core of D2 players.

No, I don't think next year is that for Ben, I do think it is for CDD's IU tenure though!

As much as I absolutely hate Purdue…I don’t think they will just go away against Arizona…they are physical and if they get away with some dirty plays they got a chance to win this thing

They won’t go away. But eventually Arizona will run away from them

Cluff gets fouled with his back to the basket and the ball below his waist and gets free throws. Ok.

Gotta keep this game close somehow

I swear like it’s impossible for me to watch a Purdue game without ripping my hair out (I’m bald)….like there’s so much they get away with

So is that how you got to be bald?

Two on Kaufman Renn early.

These refs actually called an obvious push off!

Purdue homers online were all whining about how Purdue never gets calls. TKR fouls out twice a game but never has to sit out for it.
