Yep. He was a GA under Huggins at UC. Elevated Youngstown St from absolute trash to respectable. He is from Ohio. Seems like a natural fit unless someone like UNC comes calling.

This is pretty nuts: Utah St’s last 4 coaches are Craig Smith, who got fired at Utah but he’ll be back because he’s really good, Ryan Odom(Virginia), Danny Sprinkle(Washington) and now Calhoun. Man, if you’re ambitious you want to be the next dude there. That deal just keeps on workin’.

Firing Hubert Davis would be pretty interesting. 

He’s won 70% of his games there in five years. Same rate in conference too. Made that national final year 1 and then S16 two years ago. 4 tourneys. Fine record against Duke during his time. 

If they think they deserve better, go for it. The standard is the standard there. Should be no shortage of qualified applicants

Solid solid program. San Diego St is the marquee name in the MWC, but the Aggies have been right there with them.

Larry Eustachy coached there too before heading to Ames to tank his career with the sorority gals
