Maybe but both lack actual production.  On a roster that is devoid of a go to player in the backcourt and front court.

Transfers coming in vs loss of Noyan and Caffey.  who both are big losses especially should have been better 26-27

Go to players. Makalusky and Z IF HEALTHY and Beaumont is not go to player but should improve and Jackson may be wildcard but unproven don’t count on it and a some good freshman who are not going to be the fab 3 or 4.  Rather, good for freshman.

Z is absolutely go to if she’s healthy but that’s the big if

True, didn’t see enough from her at UCLA or IU to know if she’s more than rebounding and size.   Mack could just get you a bucket when you needed one.  Things get tough, dump it to Mack.  Not sure If Z offers that.  Hope she does.

Z is def a go to player inside when healthy. The question is her health. Saw enough last yr to confidently say she is a top 3-4 center in this league when on the court. Also, most importantly, with Jess Petrie and Kenzie Hare out of the portal to go with Lenee, you have three top-tier three point shooters. Z demands enough attention inside to open the three point line for these players.

Clearly the team also had way more money for the portal this year which was good to see. I wouldn't say it was top-tier, but solid middle class money that got you three solid p5 starters in Petrie, Hare, and Samuels and a decent backup in Williams. Last year everyone who came at the time was a low end rotation player from the p5 or a mid-major starter. Clearly team went from a working class budget to a middle class budget for the portal given who they brought in.

Z has not proven she is a go to player for long periods of time.  Of course injuries…but foul trouble and consistency she is good when healthy and could become go to player but currently that is nothing more than wishful thinking until she proves it.  By March 1, 2027.

Middle class budget doesn’t buy enough and after last year fiasco of some of the same talk that is heard now thus far it is disappointing to not have better than middle class money.

Maybe one more but main rotation set. At 12 now with almost full roster. 

C Big Z, Williams, Jackson

PF Petrie, Fenn

SF Makalusky, Addy

SG Lenee, Hare

PG Samuels, GiGi

You can argue with roster but this is how it was put together and if Z stays healthy team should win 20-22 games and return to NCAA Tourney (Also note some of these combinations and starters can slide around into multiple positions). Your elite frosh wont have to be overworked with the portal rentals who were actually solid p5 starters for most part last year. Key is your 5 star frosh in Addy and GiGi growing into your next cornerstones as we go down the road. Especially with another 5 star top 30 frosh Finley Parker coming in for 2027.

Likely subtract Fenn and add Ashlinn James to the rotation.

Fenn just plain scares me.  Hasn't played because of injuries for 2 full seasons and I'm not at all comfortable relying on her for any meaningful contribution.  Would dearly love to be proven wrong.

Sidney Fenn was not very highly ranked out of high school. If the team is looking for a lottery ticket big, Zoe Jackson is much more likely.

Yeah we haven't seen Zoe play yet, looking forward (no pun intended) to seeing what she brings.

I don't think Fenn will be relied on much. She just simply is only backup 4 on roster I made so it looks that way.

There was no way to reflect on the depth chart I made that Maya or Alisa will often slide to 4 in lineups when Petrie needs a break.
