Hoosier987 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 I think a lot of us knew going into this year that length might be an issue...well, you can't teach length and athleticism and Baylor is superior in both those areas. It's quite noticeable. They are outrebounding us, have a big advantage in 2nd chance points and are forcing us off the 3 point line with their length. Home Jersey 1 Quote

It’s kind of “their thing.” Not many B1G teams are gonna be able to press our weaknesses like this. But it’s still a good benchmark. Also, everyone wanted a 3 point shooting team. This is what it looks like when you’re not hitting them. Home Jersey, thebigweave, cybergates and 1 other 4 Quote
Whoozhers Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Is that ‘76 patch new for this game? I didn’t notice it vs Marian. Quote

str8baller Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Also, quick positive thing in the Coach DD column: you counter a team like Baylor with back cuts and that’s exactly what you’re seeing. Pagoda and HoosierHoopster 2 Quote

Hoosier987 Posted October 26, 2025 Posted October 26, 2025 Wilkerson and Devries are our best players. We need a 3rd man to step up. Sisley would be a good candidate. Bailey / Alexis and Miles haven't shown much. Wild Card could be Dorn. He hasn't played. I think he's injured still. Quote

Unless we make 3’s we won’t be Fran level Iowa good either. Could be a really rough year While you may or may not be right, maybe just a little early to put a fork in the roster and the season? Especially given that it’s currently a six point game in the first half of an exhibition against a ranked opponent? Check that… down five at half. Our veteran team did not get rattled when down 12–they adjusted. Now let’s get some of those great three point looks to fall! lillurk, thebigweave, cybergates and 4 others 6 1 Quote

I’m not defending that. I’m just saying shooting threes isn’t some magic the elixir. We’ve been at our best today on offense getting behind their pressure. also, our defense is starting to show a little cohesion. With our athleticism, we need to play team defense and when we do, we’ve gotten some stops. lillurk, Home Jersey and MemphisHoosier 3 Quote
