Our place in that ranking is probably fair for now, though as far as strictly viewing a game ours is probably top-8ish because we don't have a bad seat. Nebraska is wayyyy too low and Wisconsin is wayyyy too high though. And depending on your criteria, Penn State is too high also. That place is super overrated.

Can't imagine I'll ever see a game there, but on TV Husky Stadium looks unbelievably cool. Watching the DeBoer/Penix games there felt freaking awesome.

2 things: 1) Once he's left IU Ponds will be on there for me somewhere. Love that kid. 2) Among the honorable mentions that hasn't come up yet, how about Eric Moore? All Big 10. 1st round pick. All Rookie. Went to a Pro Bowl. Has a ring. That's about as good as IUFB gets, at least until now.

Tracey Porter, Adewale Ogunyele, Dan Feeney. Lots of outstanding players.

I’m putting Aiden Fisher ahead of all of them and Randle -El because

1. Fisher is about to be a two time All-American and he’s the unquestioned defensive leader.

2. Defense wins too, even if the stats aren’t as obvious.

3. It would be ridiculous to not include a player from the best teams in our 127 year history. Fisher isn’t flashy in style or manner, but he’s the best we could ever have as a multi-year defensive player and leader.

3. It would be ridiculous to not already include a player from the best teams in our 127 year history. Fisher isn’t flashy in style or manner, but he’s the best we could ever have as a multi-year defensive player and leader.

Would certainly never argue against Fisher. Kid's bada$$. But Ponds is my boy. Love that every game is the same. Teams throw at him a couple of times early, they get nothin' and they just stop. Effectively shuts down half the field. Also love me a 175lb CB who hits people. No drag tackling with that kid, ever.

Fisher is an extension of the coaching staff on the field. Kid is tough, smart, physical, smart, relentless, smart, instinctive and smart. He's the type of dude that gives a guy like Haines an extra hour of sleep every night. Rushmore? I don’t know but he's my favorite IUFB player of all time and that's saying something. IMO he's the best player on the best team in history.

You forgot to mention that he's smart.

I’m not sure that he should go on it but I think Dolson deserves some consideration

Well if you are going to consider Dolson,  you should consider Whitten as well.  She has her haters…but she has been somewhat high profile in both men and women basketball and she loves that center of attention in football….now since its success.  Does Cig hire and success happen with

Brand?  Herbert?   McRobbie?  Answer:  NOOO!

The program pretty much just started last year.  A lot of great players in IUFB's history but, buckle up, we're about to get some hof 1st rounders commit to us on a regular basis.

Today's Rushmore might be obsolete in 5 years.

Having said that... my top 5

Joe Huff (812), AT (812), Tevin, Bob Skoronski, Fisher/Ponds
