Bits and pieces been getting posted in different threads so we'll try to start consolidating as much as possible.

Nov. 9 - Marquette in Chicago

Pretty much love that schedule.  

KSU is a need to win/should win.

Marq/Louisville are could wins.

Kentucky is probably not a win.

Going 2-2 in this stretch will be reasonable.  1-3 would put us behind the 8 ball a bit.

IMO:  teams we play only on the road are better than the teams we play only at home.  Our double plays are two top teams and one bottom team.

A couple of top 20 opponents, a couple top 50 opponents, a few mid majors between 150-250, and a few 250+ teams.  

A great mix in my opinion.

Not expecting that, but I would have liked to see a couple more P5 teams instead of Chicago State and Alabama A&M.

I think it’s fine. Maybe one less of Alabama AM/Chicago St/ Bethune with a stronger mid major type would be about perfect.  
 

As it is, we are projected to lose 2 or 3 of the big ones. Taking pretty big shots.  I love the 4 big games and the home/away/neutral/neutral.  If I had a gripe it would be the cupcakes and cutting some calories off of 1 or 2 of them.

Without having a early tournament this year, it should be a good test for a newly formed team to see just what they are made of.  You have a cupcake before Marquette which will be a pretty solid team to go against for a team trying to gel. You don't want the full schedule of cupcakes to start out like I think Crean or Miller had to start with, but they will be tested in those P4 games.

Traditionally we hear about home exhibitions at the same time as the non-con schedule release.  I wonder if D-Rock is opting for closed door exhibitions instead?

Thanks for typecasting but if you're a season ticket holder for a team with a new regime, 'KState and the Turds' wouldn't excite me; at least have more opponents that have a hint of cache (MAC, MVC, Horizon outside UWM).

I may be wrong, but doesn’t our foreign trip change the rules for what we can do for exhibitions?

Isn't there a big recruiting visit scheduled for Homecoming weekend? If so, this is super exciting and great scheduling.
