Setting up to catch the inbound pass for the last play. Good lord:

As they walked off the court Reneau was completely pissed at Rice. Seems as though Myles was supposed to work off the screen Malik was trying to set but was confused (100% coaching issue) and stayed in the corner.

This was an all time horrible end of game sequence. Just so many things that went bad in the last 4ish minutes, and especially final 90 seconds.

The game management and Rice giving up that ball without Goode/Mgbako on the floor is what kills me.  That game was iced and we never get to that point if Gallo sinks both.  He's a bad FT shooter.  Everyone including Maryland knew that.  You don't go there with the game on the line.

The dysfunction with subs at the end was very eye opening. It basically showed how clueless / unprepared they are. Was watching at my aunts house, who doesn’t know the first thing about basketball, and the first thing she said when the game ended was it looks like the coach didn’t even know who he wanted on the court. And why did he call a timeout when Rice was about to run down the court and score? Lol. You know it’s bad when people who aren’t into the sport can see the problems.

There's a Tom Crean/short space quickness joke to be made in here somewhere.

The sequence where Indiana was subbing players in and out of the game with the crowd cheering or booing as certain players stood up, went in, or went to the bench reminded me of The Price is Right, as if the studio audience was desperately trying to help Mike Woodson guess the right price.

Easy. Throw it to Ballo near the bucket. GAME OVER!

This. We're down by one, absolutely zero need to shoot a three. Get it to Ballo inside and win by one. At worst he gets fouled, misses both his free throws and we lose that way. He makes one we go to OT. He makes both we win. I've seen SEVERAL end of game plays this season from several teams where they go for the unnecessary three at the end when they are down by one and lose when it bricks. Get it inside, get the two, and win. How hard is that to understand?

Don't forget that after the ball got tipped out of bounds and IU had another inbounds play, the Wizard of Broad Ripple pulled Ballo for the final 3.9 seconds. Genius!
