(2025 Transfer) QB Cal - Fernando Mendoza to Indiana

Heard the Mendoza interview with the Hoosier Hysterics.

Maybe he has some skill commonalities with Rourke, but his personality is so different. The kid is a super smart extrovert and a Cal Berkeley high achiever that is pretty caffeinated.

As expected, he got such a stellar program culture and staff review from his brother about IUFB; that was a major factor. He also flat out said that he had committable offers from Georgia, Ole Miss, and Miami, and he chose the #EmergingSuperpower that is Indiana University football.

Reminds me of Andrew Luck. If his skills are half as talented as Luck IUFB is in great shape!

The Yonkman interview gives you the picture, but Hysteric Eric really gets him fired up. Lots of good stories about meeting Cig in that interview.

Going through his criteria list when deciding to come to IUFB was a good discussion. It basically tells me that coaching matters to him.

If ever there would be an interesting destination for hyper-gracious, godly, overly-humble Fernando, the New York freakin' Jets would be it. At least Fernando talks fast like a NewYork/New Jersey guy.

I wouldn't wish going to that dumpster fire on my worst enemy, let alone My King.

Man what did he do in a past life to deserve that

I don't see him pulling an Elway or an Eli because that doesn't seem to be his character, but no QB should ever want to go that God forsaken place.  BUT it is a huge paycheck and past history shows that you can have a possibility for a decent career once you leave, i.e. Sam Darnold.
