I get the feeling that some of the people on the IU bench--if they were playing for USI today, they would have 10 points and 5 rebounds. There is something suffocating or limiting . . . . and definitely uninspiring, about the IU team this year. You look for overachievement; but what we are seeing is woeful underachievement. Don't know exactly what is causing it, but it seems to be a wet blanket over this team/season.

I think some of that comes from a lack of development and playing time as underclassmen. It’s been a mainstay of CTM teams that frosh don’t get minutes unless they’re Holmes/Buss level immediate impact. And like I mentioned above we usually only go 6-7 deep. Well, our upperclassmen finally graduated after benefiting from xtra years for injuries (Patberg/Cardano) or covid (Berger/Holmes). This is kind of the cliff you fall off eventually when you don’t develop young players and don’t hit a home run in the portal.

I was going through the NET rankings to find our opponents so far.

For the 3 games we lost, Harvard (36) is Quad 2, would become Quad 1 if they reach the top 30. UNC is Quad 1 and should stay there. Butler is 65 right now, so that's Quad 1 as well if they don't drop below 75.

Baylor (25) is our best win right now. Columbia (47) is also just barely a Quad 1 win. Stanford (34) could become Quad 1 if they move up. Brown (223) and Maine (242) have been our only easy games so far. USI was 82 entering tonight. That becomes Quad 2 if they reach 75 or better.

So it's possible that we've already beaten 4 NCAA tournament teams. It hasn't been pretty but our resumé isn't too shabby right now.

Unfortunately, I didn't see the game. Decided to limit my streaming services this season and didn't want to spend on B1G-plus again (may end up changing my mind, though).

Anyway, I saw some of the post-game presser with Ciezki and Meister. They said CTM totally read them the riot act at halftime -- as she should have. Glad they responded.

Shooting was atrocious, glad they won but this is clearly a down year for Moren.  Gotta grit this year out and hope to get either more athletic or at least some more accountable bucket getters. This team is lacking in both categories.

Goal this year would be to just find a way into the tournament.  FWIW, the women were 49 in NET on Monday.

Your using the men's numbers for Quads. For women it is slightly different.

Home its 1-25 Quad One, 26-55 Quad Two, 56-90 Quad Three, 91+ Quad Four. Neutral Its 1-35 Quad One, 36-65 Quad Two, 66-105 Quad Three, 106+ Quad Four. Road its 1-40 Quad One, 41-80 Quad Two, 81-130 Quad Three, 131+ Quad Four.

Harvard will be hard to become Quad One, Butler Is Quad Three and would need to move to top 80 to even be Quad Two, Columbia is well in Quad Two and not likely to become top 35, USI is borderline Quad Three/Four and will not sniff Quad Two.

I don't agree with NCAA's reasoning that it is easier to win on road in women's game, hence the difference. However, that is what we are dealing with.

Here is the full resume with current NET of 41 as of today (Dec 11):
