Also, Cig added 7 transfers last Christmas Eve. It’s a Cig Miracle!

Cigs must really like his potential.  Going to be a young room but maybe adding 2 QBs though the portal was cost prohibitive.

we need starters and depth so I'd take him unless cigs has in-roads on better options that we don't know about.

Important to note, CCC has about 80* '25 scholarships spoken for leaving him 5 remaining to add to the OL, Safety, DL/Edge, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him add another QB and TE to the squad.  Net net, I expect some hard conversations to manifest in the coming days to offer the staff additional flexibility.

*Assuming Kidwell and Langston return which is still TBD.

Yes, according to Peegs and Bite-Sized Bison Langston is on scholarship.  Specialists currently project for four scholarships in '25.

The 79-80 difference is Kidwell, I project him returning - Peegs/247 doesn't at this juncture.  We will gain clarity here with the start of the Spring Semester.

The takeaway for me, scholarships are limited and the the next moves from the staff will be telling, e.g. Cig & Staff are following three OL on social media (Gentry, Michalski, and Hattar) and there continues to be engagement around TE's, Safety, and a few other targeted spots.

 If he can convince the young kids to stick around and develop them, could be a solid position for several years.  2 years with mendoza, Followed by two years with one of the young kids.  Rinse and repeat.

I also love that this staff is willing to have those conversations when necessary. Can't get where we want to go otherwise.
