This is a fascinating IU team.

At times (like the past five minutes of game time) we look like a team of guys that will be in the NBA.

At times we look pretty lackluster and uninspired.

The ceiling is incredibly high and the floor is pretty low. For me? That’s fantastic—either a chance of a title or a Woody-is-gone failure.

Been watching more college basketball this year than I usually do. There is a stark contrast between the top teams and IU. We always look slow and unorganized on offense. Take away our transition opportunities and we are not impressive at all.

In years past I would try to find any reason to rationalize why we were underrated or capable of lofty achievements. This year it’s pretty apparent that we are appropriately ranked.

We would get absolutely run out of the gym by any of the top 5 teams on a neutral court.

So if we were a 17.5 favorite and only win by a dozen or so that's not a good thing from that RPI thingy is it?

It won’t matter much. Last year we were in close games with a bunch of 200ish+ teams and then blown out by anyone good. That hurt.

A couple lackluster wins doesn’t hurt when you mix in some good ones too.

PS: for you old-timers since they cannot get a mid-range player comp for Tucker I’ll give you one:

Larry Kenon

I was thinking after “retirement” Michael Jordan.  He completely revamped his game as he got old.

On the pkus side Tucker is showing up offensively, he can get buckets, just a frosh but has a man’s confidence.

On the flip side, Bako not finding his rhythm has limited scoring tonight

He looked pretty awesome, up 17, until Woody platooned out the first team for like 8 minutes and lost the chemistry and had then nearly tie it up at the half

Anybody pontificating about how great this team is/can be, before we see them play in Atlantis, is the one who has an agenda... not the fans who want more than beating UNCG by 11 in a game that had no business being as close as it was.

How many offensive rebounds to one of the smallest teams in D1?

How many turnovers did we have?

How many wide open shots did they miss?

Good thing we hit free throws. Lot of talent. Until we see them in Atlantis, we won't know what they're really made of.

Good thing they've got a week to rest and get ready.

A very unsatisfying win and doesn't breed a lot of optimism for the upcoming Bahamas trip.

Maybe Woody ends up saying screw it and decides to stay in the Bahamas afterward. Ultimately he ends up becoming Florida Stanley (see: The Office).

It’s two guys:

1. MALIK RENEAU yeeeeesh.

 2. Mack Mgbako (less so, but him too).

Carlyle missed a key one at the end too. Our guards do rebound better than last year (hard not to).

IMO, other than Ballo, it's the entire team's bad habit. Usually out of position and rarely putting a body on their guy.

Malik and Mack are definitely the worst offenders.

Agree. Woodson completely killed the flow we’d established.

it is a game he could afford to do that, to give a second unit run to try to develop some game chemistry— that’s my glass half full thinking.

My glass half empty thinking is just like, Damn Woodson, you suck
