Wonder if we'll appeal the targeting call.  We did earlier this season and were successful.

No suspension is at stake luckily. I’m guessing that was the main reason for the UCLA one.

So help me out here boys.  I thought a targeting ejection was an automatic suspension.

I believe it’s an automatic ejection from the game and a suspension for the next half. Since it happened in first half, he sits the second. If it happened in second half, he’d have to sit first half of next game. Or we’d appeal that.

You’re out for the first half of the next game if it happens in the second half of the current game. If it happens in the first half you’re just out for the remainder of the game.

For the half you're playing in and the next half. So a 1st half ejection is the rest of the game, a 2nd half ejection is that half and the 1st half of the following game.

If he had been called in the second half he would have had to sit out the first half of the OSU game.

Fortunately,, he was flagged in the first half so only has to miss the rest of this game.
