Sounds about right. Dix would have been a nice get. I’m not as high on Freeman as most but I’m sure he’d do well there.

Kind of with you on Freeman, really good offensively around the rim but not a very good defender or rebounder given his size. He'll be a substantial downgrade from Kalkbrenner who could defend without fouling and protect the rim. Dix I have no problem with but worry about him defensively especially if you're pairing him with DeVries. That's not a ton of athleticism out on the perimeter.

It’s a downgrade.  Dix is a poor defender too.

I think we should aim bigger.  Dix isn’t a good defender.  What you get on offense is outweighed by the poor defense.

I like what CDD said in an interview last week. He would rather have someone that does one thing real well and then teach them the other aspects of the game. Believe me, I would love to have a couple of strong offensive players and let coach teach them the rest.

CDD can't teach a terrible shooting 21 year old how to effectively shoot threes. He can teach Luke Goode or Josh Dix defensive intensity.
