Including Minnesota, I can see us winning only 4-5 conference games total this year. MAYBE 8 if things break right.

In my personal projections, after hosting USC, I don't see another win I'm confident about until at Washington.

That'd be 12 straight losses. I think we're rapidly approaching the tipping point of becoming pure suck.

I was thinking the same thing but almost didn’t want to put it into the ether lol so thanks for falling on that sword. It’s hard just on talent alone to imagine us doing worse than .500 in the B1G, but I have a real hard time envisioning many road wins. My personal guess would be 7 to 10 wins in the B1G, make the BTT, not the NCAA.

He also said that many of our new players came from schools that play mostly zone defense, which is why we were having trouble on D., which is not true. Also said we played good defense against Nebraska. So Delusional

It’s almost like our not a college basketball head coach has also not watched any college basketball film.

My belief in the team / staff was already zero.

That Nebraska game completely murdered any idea things would not be objectively awful overall.

Maybe a few bright spots along the way... but I tend to agree. Probably squeak into BTT, not the NCAA.

NCAAs are so far away from being realistic - on December 17 - it's a sin, lol.

I just hope they don’t stop. Only chance in todays landscape. J

That's a real issue if the moneybags bankrolling Woody get peed off and significantly reduce their contributions or stop altogether.  Should that happen, we better hope there's other donors who will step up to the plate because Woody is gone.

Don’t worry, as soon as I win this mega millions you can rest easy, I will keep the money flowing in. Got a lot of eggs in that basket so things are looking up!

I was doing some thinking about the rest of the year last night.
The more I thought about it, the more I felt like this season really might go completely off the rails.
Thought my bias may be clouding my ideas, so I looked at the NET Rankings and Woody's winning percentage vs. each Quad.
My back of the napkin math: as it stands today - we have 13 Q1 games, 3 Q2 games, 4 Q3 games left.
As it stands today there are 6 games that could be Q1/Q2 (Michigan, Purdue, PSU, OSU) or Q2/Q3 (Rutgers, at Washington).
Woody has a 31% winning pct vs Q1, 64% vs Q2, and 89% vs Q3.
That would be good for 10 more wins. That'd put us at 18-13 overall.
I have a hard time seeing us finishing better than 21-10 absolute best case. 18-13 or worse more likely IMO.
That's doing his job.

I don’t think it’s an issue if we get the next hire right in the eyes of our big donors.

When Cig was hired money started rolling in, and that was before we took a snap and for a historically terrible program.

Cook and Simon are our two billionaire mega donors.  We can’t afford to lose either of them, especially Cook.  I don’t see anyone who could step in, Cuban has never showed interest in being a big donor.

I don’t think they will stop donating fwiw, especially Cook, they run the Hoosiers Connect collective.

When it rains, it pours #iubb.

He is somewhat like Tyme in that he seems to have some inside scoop.  Not sure what is being referred to.

Good catch, doc.

I wonder who is injured.

That guy is such a tool, lol.

Loves telling people Indiana's Blue Blood status died when we let the General go.

Harping on Woody having the 2nd best winning pct since 2000 as rationale for retaining him.

Basically thinks this is the best we can do. If I didn't know any better, I'd think he's a Purdue troll.

I don't think its a purdue troll.  I think its similiar to tyme and also connected to Woody in some way to defend him over all else.

Yeah you're right, poor phrasing on my part. Just find his mentality sooo frustrating and not logical, lol.

Wonder what he's getting at... suppose we'll find out soon enough

At this point I could see Woody so damn pathetic enough to talk a player into being “injured” and keep him out of games just to be able to use that as an excuse for not winning…

…..sounds ridiculous, but I’ve reached the point of not putting it past this man to do such a thing just to make himself look better.

He picked these guys.  So adapt and play zone.  :)

Exactly, I said this over a week ago, dummy down the defensive scheme and play a 2-3 zone but everyone know Woodson is too stubborn to change anything and he wants to prove his system works.  He is just making excuses like he always does and now the next move is to announce a rotation player is injured, which will be used as an excuse too
