Yep just because some dont like beard it doesn't matter. They aren't picking the coach and arguing over it is pointless.

Or think Cronin is too bald to be the coach, you are right, it doesn’t matter.  The thread that doesn’t matter the most is the one they started for Ben McCollum.  I really can’t believe that warranted it’s own thread, lol!

But definitely behind umass-lowell

It has been a disappointing season for them.  They were suppose to challenge Vermont for the American East however they are under .500 in conference.

It’s probably just his reaction after being told he wouldn’t be coaching the Maryland game, as we were told was happening. Now, back to the process that you keep struggling to get a handle on. I’m just glad to be able to get you back on course when you invariably drive into the ditch. Feel like your own AAA.

What happened to the ‘decision wouldn’t be made on Woodson for six weeks’?

 Just stop.

Yep... Dolson should call Woodson into the office and tell him that he's reconsidered ... hire him back just so he can fire him again...

Just make sure to hide the potted plants.

that does make wonder….why was there ever a need to say the plant was potted?  As if there was a loose plant sitting on the desk..,

What process are you referring to?  Could it be the process that the coaching situation won’t be addressed until after the season unless Woodson has a health condition or violates a rule?  Is it that process?

It’s the process that began when Woodson sought a commitment for next year from Dolson from Woodson and others, did not get it, persisted, still didn’t get it, and then decided to move forward by announcing he’d leave at the end of the season. If you believe IU moved on him, you’d be 100% incorrect. And he was never being pushed out before the Maryland game, as was falsely rumored.

Woodson made it, though a series of his actions. IU didn’t initiate it. They very likely would’ve at the end of the season, but they didn’t a few weeks ago. That was all MW.

So what are you saying?  That Dolson didn't tell him, directly or indirectly, that he would likely be let go at the end of the season, so Woodson just quit? Why would he quit?  He was under contract for next year.

Yep the king certainly left on his own. Guys with 6 million dollar rosters and 5-8 records never get fired. That king fully expected another year after his stellar coaching job.

Is there a more overworked word on btb?

P is for Process - KathywithaC's favorite word

R is for regurgitate - She regurgitates it frequently

O is for outlandish - Many of the coaching theories posted on btb

C is for crap - Mike Woodson's IU coaching

E is for ego - Mike Woodson's is humongous

S is for Scott D. - Don't let us down Scotty

S is for Sisley - Through it all he's sticking with IU

Welcome to BTB, post more and lurk less!  Just don’t engage in those pointless arguments that we have no control over!

Thanks for the welcome!  I like good discussions but like you said we have no control over who is selected so arguing for 20 pages about one’s favorite candidate is pointless. I respect everyone’s POV and for the most part can see the pros to most candidates. I just want someone that can coach, stabilize the program, and get us back to national relevance again by challenging for B1G titles and in the tournament yearly. I’m tired of feeling apathetic about IU basketball.

 A couple questions,

1.  Was Woodson not aware of our procedure that we don’t evaluate and make decisions on coaches during the season?

2.  Why didn’t Woodson just quit effective immediately?

There are about 8.4 million reasons...
