Fire Coach Woodson Thread

Actually there is a picture floating around here.  It looks like Renue came to the corner to set a screen for Rice to come off a curl around the free throw line.  Rice didn’t take it.   But there were no second options cause everyone else was standing around.

I didn’t see that.  I watched the game but don’t remember because that last play was so chaotic.

IUs fired 5 coaches in my lifetime. Only 2/5 have been at the conclusion of the season. Her silly narrative doesn’t even conform to historical fact.

One was fired for violating a zero tolerance policy. One resigned and coached out the end of the season while the other resigned amidst level 1 infractions. Which leaves Archie and Crean who were both fired at the end of the season. Woodson, who hasn't violated a zero tolerance policy nor been charged with level 1 infractions, is going to coach out the remainder of the season until he is inevitably fired. Seems pretty par for the course.

Since the dawn of time

Not in college it wasn't. Like I have said I have watched a lot of der games and there wasn't a formal handshake line and most of the time the teams left the court right away. RMK might go over to a senior player who played their last game vs IU and talked to him.

Chris Holtmann last year.

Mike Davis. Aren’t you an IU fan?

Holtmann's record was eerily similar to Woodson's, at least percentage wise

Holtmann @ tOSU:
137–86 (.614)    67–65 (.508)

Woodson @ IU
 77–47 (.621)    36–34 (.514)

We’ve been completely unserious from the moment Mike Woodson was hired to coach basketball. Nothing about the “process” has anything to do with winning basketball games. It’s about appeasing two program legends. Full stop. No one is saying he has to be fired right now, simply make the retirement announcement and let him finish the year. He probably gets cheered on senior night. Instead, we are supposed to believe this administration is fine with the optics of angry or empty Assembly Hall for the rest of the season? Don’t hire unqualified program legends in the first place. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills.

That would be the best outcome. We all agree that Woodson needs to go and we need a new start for the program.

Such a definitive statement would imply you are sleeping with Scott Dolson. Are you sleeping with Scott Dolson?

I can definitely state that I am not sleeping with Scott Dolson, though I should probably check with a couple of posters here to verify whether I am or not and whether there have been conversations about that and whether something is, in fact, in motion. Maybe this should be shared via DM?

Tucker has potential, but what guard skills does he have currently? Shooting? Playmaking ability? He's at 6% from three, and has 12 total assists all season.

He will not be a positive offensive player until he develops a three point shot and/or the ability to get to the rim, instead of hunting mid range jumpers.

He and Bako are AAU ball hype. Just because they were the tallest or the most athletic on the floor at the time is the only reason why they were five stars. Guess what everybody else is tall now and athletic what you gonna do with no basketball IQ now?

Archie and crean had teams their final season where you could see them getting to the end of season. The path to the end with this coach and team looks incredibly rocky

And they should have been fired even sooner. Davis and Miller for sure stayed too long. Crean maybe deserved his last year but it was obvious where the program was going. And now we have Woodson. Her narrative may be silly. But until Woodson is fired before the end of the season, she’s correct. Even if it’s trolling.

Besides Sampson who else was fired mid season.

Davis no finished the season

Sampson yes because of rule violations

Dackich no finished the season

Crean no fired  after the season

Miller no fired after the season

She's telling you right now that he's gone at the end of the season so you don't have to root for the team to lose. It's already been decided, it's just not going to be officially announced until the conclusion of the season.

If it hasn't been done, it hasn't be officially "decided."  It's not decided until it's done.

Anyone heard anything on if Scott’s making a move for Kathy so we can let her know?

Lou Watson quit at the end of the season, while Knight wasn’t fired during the season, nor was Davis, nor Dakich, nor Crean, nor Miller. Sampson was. In football, Pont, Corso, Cameron, DiNardo, Lynch, Wilson and Allen were all at the end of the season. Wyche left for the Bengals, Mal was let go the week before the season ended.

But he isn't slow footed. Tucker played a lot of AAU? Mmm don't think so

Didn't Holtmann get fired after an 8 game losing streak

Also just looked and it appears that he had a 18 game road losing streak.
