IUBB vs North Alabama - Thursday, 12.21.23 @ 8:30 on BTN

Recommended Posts

Looking back, kinda crazy to know we have only won by double digits twice so far this season, the most being 13 points to Harvard. Obviously a win is a win and I’ll take them however we can get them, but I’m certainly ready to see an all around dominant game where we blow a team out by 25+ like we’re supposed to be capable of doing

FWIW the Maryland game was a blowout pretty much from start to finish. We established a double digit lead early, stretched the lead to 23, and the final 12 point win after a few end of game buckets by Maryland was the closest score for the entire second half.

Right, that’s true, I agree with that. I forgot we had such a big lead throughout that game.

To be fair, and not that it makes it much better, I know both Army and Louisville hit meaningless last second shots to make those games single digits and I'm 90% sure Wright State did the same.

Either way point still stands we need to play better and start treating these games like they matter, because they are way more important than we have acted.

Well malik is questionable for tonight so it appears he did hurt something at the end of the mo head game. We're a cursed program

Wasn't he also listed as questionable before the UM game? I don't think what happened at the end of the game is related to this/anything to worry about but I certainly could be wrong.

Not making light of the fact he may well have an issue, but the B1G guidelines for listing players as questionable is a joke.  Ask for a band aid; ask for an aspirin and per the guidelines you are to be listed as questionable.

Yeah, there aren't too many guys who miss games in the Big Ten that it's a surprise when they do.  It would be a surprise if Reneau didn't play.

I hope X doesn't play until Big Ten games.  If Reneau is border injury, I hope the same for him.  No reason to risk injury against cupcakes when we need success in the Big Ten to hope for the NCAA tourney

If we lose today without them, maybe it will fire them up moving forward.  I almost wish we lost last game so these guys realize we can't play like **** and expect to win

I think winning by one point the other night proves that point all the same.

I hope so.  Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom though.  I'm afraid some of the players may think "who cares that we started so slow, we won!"  We'll see I suppose

I don't know what the hell they're thinking, but the body language has been definitely questionable lately... CJ looked like he hardly wanted to be there last time out. Totally deflated. Reneau and Ware at times had kinda bad body language too. I'll cut those two some slack tho.

What Walker said about staying ready and bringing the energy... I appreciated that "senior" leadership from a transfer. Wish it didn't come to that though. Huge credit to him... 18pts 9 boards? Just want to give him major credit for saving that game. Huge part of the team.

Doubt it. They barely clawed back to the 1 pt win, staff was going nuts and no doubt read them the riot act during half time and since.

Walker taking on some leadership going forward is a good thing.

A loss today would be devastating four our tourney chances
