Jah Jah Boyd officially got an offer, to the surprise of no one.

Mostly mid-major on his list but he does have an offer from Penn State. Nice.

IU needs speed, which this kid has.

According to 247 has P5 offers from Virginia Tech, Boston College, PSU, Wake Forest and, of course, the Hoosiers.

I'm guessing this decision was made on the side of the coaching staff. I think he was in an that article with quotes from recruits saying he was looking forward to playing for Cignetti.

I wonder if his decision is because of the possibility of JMU transfer, McCloud coming to IU. I sort of get that feeling. JMO

And not fitting into the scheme of Coach Cigs and maybe bringing another QB recruit along

Would McCloud even be able to play next year? He's used his "free" transfer and a coaching change is no longer something the NCAA will give a waiver for. Is he a grad transfer? He's been in school long enough.

Not sure how a transfer would impact a freshman though. He most likely wouldn't play for a couple years.

It'd be his 6th year and 3rd transfer. He was at USF 2 years then Arizona for 2.

Right, but is he a grad transfer? The article I saw didn't mention it.

I tried looking but couldn't find it. Seems like at this point he'd have to be unless he's hoping for some sort of waiver. I think he had a medical RS one year but still he's been in college a long time.

Kid is a monster. In the right situation he’s going to make someone really, really good next year.

Teams already pouncing.  Two days ago it was reported he already had 10 schools that had NIL offers exceeding $1 million for him.  Miami, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Washington, and Auburn in the mix.
