TheWatShot Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 I recall some offseason chatter from Purdue fans about how "loaded" their women's team was going to be...currently down 51-29 to UCLA. Quote

TTT Posted November 7, 2023 Posted November 7, 2023 LSU vs Colorado LOL. Good for Ladies college basketball…and LSU…and Good for Colorado. Lady Buckeyes go down vs USC. Sunday, IU Ladies have a chance to move on up. ALASKA HOOSIER 1 Quote
TTT Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 Virginia Tech led by Kenny Brooks Ladies Basketball seem to take the character and personality of their coach and is one of the classiest basketball programs in all of Ladies college basketball. Quote
CSP Posted November 10, 2023 Posted November 10, 2023 I think there are 3 Top 5-8 teams in the country, in the B1G this year. Not sure what happened with OSU against USC, but OSU is stupid loaded too. GloryDays 1 Quote
Stuhoo Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 #2 Iowa women go DOWN to unranked Kansas State. Caitlin Clark? The greatest ever who would beat MJ in one on one and Steph in a shooting contest? 9-32 FG. 2-16 from three. 4 TO, 3 assists. And apparently LOTS of pouting and bad body language. mamasa, Banksyrules, Todd41 and 3 others 4 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 11, 2023 Posted December 11, 2023 Seems like the last 2-3 years, Gino's lost a player to a season ending injury. From Raoul: Regarding sophomore forward Ayanna Patterson, who's had a long-standing issue with her knee, UConn WBB coach Geno Auriemma said today, "I don't anticipate Ayanna being back [this season]" Last month UConn lost Azzi Fudd to a season ending injury. In the B1G - Michigan State WBB junior forward Isa Alexander and senior guard Gabby Elliott are both out for the season with injuries Maryland WBB redshirt sophomore forward Emma Chardon out for the season with a torn ACL; she also suffered a season-ending injury last season, in the very first game mamasa 1 Quote

TheWatShot Posted January 3, 2024 Posted January 3, 2024 Caitlin Clark with another buzzer-beater tonight, from the freaking mid-court logo to beat MSU 76-73. J34 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Today's Purdue at Maryland WBB game has been postponed because of a leak in the roof at Xfinity Center; playing in an auxiliary gym was discussed, "but Purdue didn’t feel comfortable with that option" Quote
TTT Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Maybe, tv emphasis on C. C. Iowa vs IU Ladies Basketball next Saturday’s game on Fox will give IU motivation. I don’t think game was verbally noted though it was displayed on tv screen. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Regarding Elissa Brett—injured late in the Minnesota game a week ago and averaging 8.3 PPG and 4.0 RPG—Michigan WBB coach Kim Barnes Arico during her radio appearance this morning said, "she's out ... and we're not really sure about her return yet" Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 This is rough when your program is so injury riddled you have to forfeit 2 games. Quote

TTT Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Push off Clark…the ref didn’t miss that. Just didn’t call it vs Ohio State towards end of first half. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Buckeyes used a 19-6 run to go up 77-76 over Iowa. Had the ball, beautiful feed for a reverse layup that somehow missed, Clark snatched it and went coast to coast to put Iowa back in front. Quote
TheWatShot Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 Cotie McMahon is doing her best to try and take down Clark, but I'm not sure she'll have enough. Just missed a free throw that would have tied it with a minute left. Quote
