It seems Big 1.o officials keep track of fouls by the star players and then call them on reserves when they come into the game. So true, subs sometimes get a foul called on them the minute they check in. Quote
TheWatShot Posted December 8, 2022 Posted December 8, 2022 I remember how Big Ten refs used to practically stalk Tom Pritchard and wait for him to set a "moving" screen. hoosierbgh and HoosierHoops1 2 Quote

I'm convinced refs look ahead of time at players and fouls. See who commits what. Makes their job easier to look for things. They 100% do that in football. I've heard several NFL players talk about how once they find out the crew their coaching staff tells them what they call and don't call. My thing is let them play or be consistent. There was one point last night I think Galloway went in and just got beat to death and they didn't call anything. But, they'll call a ticky tacky foul on IU. Big Ten really needs to wake up. I said it earlier..nobody wants bully ball. I really do think that could be a small part why this conference struggles in the tournament. No other conference does this crap.
