The past 2 years, Newell attended Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, FL.  Here's his stats for his freshman and sophomore years.

Think about Montverde's front court for next year-- K.J. Evans, Derrick Queen, Liam McNeely, Asa Newell, and Cooper Flagg.

That's better than most college programs.
