And '25 Trey McKenney (Meanstreets) and '25 Darryn Peterson (NJ Scholars) are both playing 15U which I thought was particularly surprising that Peterson wasn't playing up.

Did not even occur to me to look for them on U15. Just assumed they weren’t playing the event.

Recent offeree '25 SG Trey McKenney having quite a weekend.   And for clarification his full name is John McKenney III but because he's "John the Third" he's been known as Trey for years.

In 2 games he's scored 54p on 20-41 FG; 6-15 on 3s;  8-10 FT; 14r.

We're currently watching '24 James Brown, '24 Nojus Indrustaitis and '24 K. J. Windham (Meanstreets) vs. '24 Jalen Haralson, '25 Trent Sisley and '24 Kanon Catchings (IN Heat)

IN Heat rolled to an 81-42 win and it was the Trent Sisley show scoring 24p on 10-16 FG; 11r and 5 a.  Jalen Haralson added 16p and 6a.

TJ Power had a great late game last night. Didn’t check the box score, but probably had 30+ in an OT win. Such a skilled kid. The only things: 1) He’s a really smooth, fluid athlete, but he’s not the most explosive kid off the floor. You’re not getting any rim protection here. 2) He doesn’t exactly relish contact. When he posts up  and gets levered by a defender, he’ll just give up his position. He’d much rather play off the elbow or from the wing. But, he’s really good at it. He needs the right kind of guy next to him to maximize him. Page would be a really good fit. Booker would be ok. Queen, not sure about that one.

And in another late game, T. J. Power scored 33p on 10-22 FG; 5-6 on 3s; 8-8 FT; 10r and 6a.  Not a bad day at the office.

Power’s having another excellent game right now. Really impressive considering that their game last night didn’t end until after 11 and then an 11am start today. He’s having a great weekend.

As USPS likes to say, you don’t always  want your targets to have great performances at these events!

And he was already very heavily recruited. Kids that can score the ball must be a priority for our staff.  Sounds like this kid has the goods. Always liked him as an option.   Long, long list of suitors.

Size and can shoot from every level.  Yes please

TJ Power with 23 points and 6 rebounds in a loss to the City Rocks. Indiana had Mike Woodson and his entire staff at the game.

I assume it must be a philosophical thing with the NJ Scholars program that kids don’t play up, but Darryn Peterson has no business playing U15. That kid was just miles better than anybody else on the floor and didn’t play his best game at all.
