Class of '66 Old Fart Posted February 24, 2022 Posted February 24, 2022 Stock Risers discussing bigs from the Atlanta-Metro area. Bryson Tiller | 6-8 | 2025 | Pace Academy Seems difficult to believe watching Tiller at both ends of the floor he could only be a freshman, the advanced ability to get what he wants offensively and absolutely erase at the other end has been a treat to watch all season. Scary is the quickly developing and efficient shooting ability from 3, to go with more put-it-on-floor attacking from the wings. And then there’s the work on the glass, where he can simply own it for long stretches and help stem or contribute to runs. It’s a wow-package. ALASKA HOOSIER and Demo 2 Quote

Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Eric Bossi on USA Basketball mini-camp Bryson Tiller, PF – Auburn, Georgia Tech and Indiana have already offered this productive forward. Physically he already looks and moves like 2022 McDonald’s All-American Brandon Miller. He’s not yet a pull-up jump shooting savant like Miller and is more of a face up four man, but he can make shots, rebounds and has a lot to work with as another who is trending towards a start near the tops of the rankings in his class after the summer. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 20, 2022 Posted April 20, 2022 Last weekend the NY2LA held its TipOff Classic in Georgia. 6’7” F Bryson Tiller (2025/Atlanta Xpress 16U) Tiller has already solidified himself as a prospect we’ll be hearing about consistently the next few years. He played with the Xpress 17U group last summer and had a big freshman season for Pace. Now with the 16U Xpress, you can tell his confidence is extremely high. Tiller has an advanced body paired with ball-handling ability at 6’7”, which creates constant mismatches. When he’s keeping things simple and getting right to it with strong, decisive drives from 15-17 feet, he is difficult to guard. He always seems to bring a business-like, no-nonsense approach and that was evident on defense as he was commonly seen rebounding physically in traffic and staying ready to block shots. He already has a quality collection of tools to work with and as his shooting continues to come along he’ll be an even more dangerous threat. Demo 1 Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 Eric Bossi -- The best 2025 prospect that we saw during the weekend was Bryson Tiller of the Atlanta Xpress 16U team. We’ve already introduced the impressive young power forward to our readers, but it bears repeating that he looks to be a high-level talent. Tiller is already a coordinated, skilled and athletic young forward who can face up, attack off the dribble and bury some jump shots. Assuming he continues to develop, he could be recruited at the highest level which sounds about right given that he’s already gotten offers from Auburn, Indiana and Georgia Tech. Quote
Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Tiller is participating in the Under Armour Future 60 camp. Last night began with skill-work before three-on-three and later one-on-one competitions that showcased the prospects’ abilities to both operate within offensive concepts and create their own shot. This from Adam Finkelstein: The first player to make an impression on Friday night was one of the youngest ones in the field. Bryson Tiller is just finishing his freshman year at Pace Academy and has already been identified both by USA Basketball and by a growing number of early high-major suitors. He has the type of size and powerful frame that stands out at first glance, and is even more impressive with his maturity at his age. The fact that he has multiple 7-footers in his family and already stands at 6-foot-8 makes him all the more intriguing…and that was before the ball even started bouncing. On the floor, Tiller is not unlike many young frontcourt prospects who want to prove their worth facing the basket, and to his credit, he was able to show some translatable tools in that regard. He moved well for his size, was able to put the ball on the floor to both sides, and even passed the ball with both zip and touch. The challenge moving forward is to utilize that versatility in the most efficient way possible, which means taking advantage of his physical tools inside the paint while simultaneously continuing to stretch his game. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Another day, another write-up on Tiller from the UA Future 50 Camp by Adam Finkelstein - Atlanta Xpress rising sophomore Bryson Tiller was one of the first players to stand out on Friday, despite being one of the youngest players in the field. On Saturday, he picked up right where he left off, and continued to showcase his combination of long-term potential and versatility. Tiller showed more willingness to go inside and score on the interior Saturday, where his size and power are unmatched at his age right now. Simultaneously though, he seized the opportunities to put the ball on the floor from the perimeter and also made some big finishes in transition. Tiller even showed off some shooting potential to start the day. Demo 1 Quote

Yep, That sums it up pretty well. Sad, but lately true. We were a Blue Blood and other Blue Bloods regain their stature after slipping much more quickly. Our administration has made so many mistakes (also including, imo not playing the game) we've lost that status to the kids. Many adults still view us that way. We have to win and win fairly big consecutively. Then, assuming that can happen, we need an excellent transition plan from Woodson if he is able to regain the necessary momentum. To each their own. Everyone in the industry knew the players deserved a piece of the pie. Thus Nil as the intermediary because the cat was fully out of the bag. We didn’t need to play the game with the same strategy as Kentucky but we needed to be in the game. Our program has been a self righteous loser for the most part of 25 years, setting innumerable record program lows. Kentucky wasn’t even close to the only one in the game.
