Just happened across this. Not surprising that IU would reach out but I wouldn’t bet the house on serious involvement. Fair to assume Mike Smith’s presence at Maryland would be tough for anyone else to overcome.

I know that Rice had an ankle injury his freshman year that limited him to 11 games....but what is the word on him stepping away from the program altogether this year?  Ankle still not healed and didn't want to waste a year of eligibility?

Worth noting that the kid is playing on a 10-15 (6-14 in conference) D3 team and he's not a knock down shooter.....34% from three this year, 37% for his career which for a guy wanting to move from D3 to D1 isn't real good.  Also worth noting that if we are talking about the level of competition he's played against, in their 25 games they've played exactly 3 games outside of the state of Minnesota so we are talking about playing local D3 teams.

Arkansas seems to be the best program that has touched base but we know Musselman touches base with everybody.
