NCAA MBB Transfer Portal

Recommended Posts

Aly Khalifa, BYU in the portal with a do not contact tag, so assume he knows where he is going.  Could be Kentucky to follow his coach.

Not a great player but has one of the most unique stat lines in college basketball.  He's a 6'11, 270 pound center.  Played two years at Charlotte before transferring to BYU.  Last seaon started 26 games for BYU, averaging 19.4 minutes, 5..7 points, 3.7 rebounds....and now the strange part.....4.0 assists  6'11" center who had more assists than rebounds and almost as many assists as points.  Bulk three point shooter, close to half his shots in college have been threes and he's made 35%

I watched him play against Duquesne and legitimately thought he was the worst basketball player that I had ever seen.

Most intriguing portal targets Indiana isn’t targeting strongly.

1) Wade Taylor (this years Caleb Love)
2). Javon Small (I think he’s better than the guards we prioritized)
3). Jordan Pope (In the mix. I like him quite a bit)
4.) Aaron Bradshaw (Klutch gonna Klutch. This years Ware?)
5.) Jalen Blackmon. Love the family. Kid can flat out shoot. I very curious to see how he stacks up at the next level.
6) Johnuel Davis (Does Michigan get him and Goldin? McNeely? Dusty gonna be a pest
7). Frankie Fidler- He ain’t Dalton Knecht, or is he? Nah.

I like Fidler a lot.  His final three included Wisky and Nebraska.

He’s a pretty good player. Decent pickup for Matta too.

I wouldn't really call him pretty good....shoots the three okay for his size but don't really see anything else he really excels at.

That said, recall that a couple of years ago he took some time off from basketball during the season due to mental health/depression issues.  Getting away from a father as short fused as his dad might be good for him.

BTW, Fidler has said he will announce Monday.  His final four are Nebraska, Wisky, Michigan State, and Creighton.  He set this date before his last visit -- he is currently visiting Michigan State.  I would give the advantage to either Nebraska or Michigan State.

Strong likelihood it’s Michigan state imo.

Is anyone watching what Dusty May is doing at Michigan as far as portal visits and players? I know that might be a sore subject since it is Michigan.

Yes...it's kind of mixed bag.  Although they were horrid last year, they did have a few talented players but most of that talent entered the portal.  Dug McDaniel transferred to Kansas State while Terrance Williams and Tarris Reed are in the portal.  I think they only guy they retained from the starting lineup was Nimari Burnett.

Sounds like they in good shape with the center from FAU as well as the center from Yale as well as Conner Essegian.  In on some others as well.  Johnell Daniels is probably the key as May is in danger of potentially losing him to Louisville.

Will Kentucky have a team next year?

Znovimir Ivišić enters the portal.  7’2” croatian player.  Was not given eligibility until Jan 20th.  5.5 point's, 3.7 reb and 1.3 blocks in just over 11 mpg.  And he shoot the ball, not just an interior player.  PLEASE keep Paintef away from him.

He's already got 2.  Surely he's not that greedy is he?

Arizona’s Kylan Boswell commits to Illinois. The former PAC 12 schools continue having their young guards plundered  by the B1G.

I think he’s from southern Illinois

That sounds right. Went to 1 of the basketball factories, maybe Prolific or Compass, and then classed up to go to Zona. So he’s got 2 years of college experience but he might be 19.
