That's what I don't get. If the NBA is looking for more shooting from their big men, what would be in the appeal in TJD without a jump shot? It's clear that hasn't improved significantly from his FR to SO years, so why is it assumed he's NBA bound. Just don't get it, if he wants to be a Tristan Thompson type then so be it, but what's he doing nowadays without LeBron and Kardashians. I just don't see TJD defensive game carrying him to the NBA until his offensive game can take a leap or two

He’s still has a ways to go on the defensive end too! 
 

His inability to stretch the floor let alone finish with his right hand is a major cause for concern for any NBA scouts.

Did I mention his free throws and layups in general.
