Takes 2 to tango.  We offered a fair compromise, they refused because they're "non-traditional" or some other crap.  When they're willing to work on a compromise I want IU to go to the table.
That's not fear.  One side was willing to compromise to make it work, the other wasn't.

This, they’re cool with inking a deal for a home-home-neutral with the other Big Blue. Why won’t they play at Assembly Hall. They seem scared to play there. How can the greatest program ever with the greatest college coach and the greatest college fan base be so scared to play in tiny Bloomington at Assembly Hall. I’m shocked they’re so scared.

pUKe didn't really want the game to happen.  If you want to point the finger anywhere, that's where you should.  If anyone is showing fear (your word, not mine) me thinks it'd be the side that didn't really try to make the game happen.

You’re thinking through a game of chess while sitting at the checkers board. I think this has been hashed out and rehashed several times in the fan base. It’s kind of crazy that I’ve had discussions with, reasonable, pUKe fans who want to see the series start up again and would love to see a home-home.

Frankly, I’d like to see us get them in tourney sooner rather than later.

This would be the season to play them in the tourney. Cal is surprisingly(and probably not on purpose), building an old team.

Reasonable pUKe fans?  Those exist?  I'm gonna need proof, I mean there are people that say Bigfoot exists.

To be fair the one breastfeeding her 6 week old besides me most of Elite 8 game against Michigan at Lucas Oil a few years back was pretty reasonable. I think that’s the longest I ever stared a woman in her eyes with my wife sitting next to me. She did put headphones over that kids ear but it didn’t work. Thank god she could take that pain as I wouldn’t have sat next to a screaming infant a whole game.

I've met some that were pretty reasonable.  Even some that disagree with Cal's OAD approach.

I just don't pass up a chance to take a shot at that fanbase, since the reasonable ones seem greatly out numbered by the insufferable jackasses (and yes, we certainly have ours as well).

Ha, can’t disagree with that at all.

That’s what happens when you get a fanbase made up of, conservatively, 70% non-attendees or actual graduates of the university they’re cheering for.

That being said, I’ve had WAY more reasonable conversations with Kentucky fans than UofL fans.

Completely agree. UofL or MSU fans for me.

Lol. UL/Duke elite 8 game back in 2013 sat in the UL section and next to UL fan that barked the whole game......awesome times. Then at the 2010
Final 4 sat by MSU fans that blamed the refs for home state cooking officiating that whole game against Butler. I couldn’t bite my tongue anymore and gave the wife the look and then turned to him and said it kind of reminded me of last year when you guys played in Detroit and seemed to get every call against UConn

Purdoo fans are the worst for sure.  I had one argue with me that our banners were dusty and boring, but their big drum was the greatest thing in sports

Going to Breslin was on me. That was just dumb. But I have seen them in Bloomington, Indy, and Chicago. Never a good experience. With UL I saw a couple of fights in a couple different instances. I always thought UK was loud but not abusive. Illinois fans can be bad. Purdue fans are loud but they really have nothing. Duke fans remind me of Notre Dame football fans. Michigan fans can be annoying.
