Bracketology and Team Resumes

On USPS’s seeding, since Virginia would not play a 5 seed from the ACC, there would be a 2 in 3 chance that the 5 in IU’s bracket would be Duke or Miami.  Miami IMO would be preferable.

That would depend on it they had played twice during the season or not.     If they only played once they could be in the same region.      Just like Illinois could be a 8 or 9 seed in Purdues region because they only played once so far

He didn't post his S-curve or seeds this morning, but the jist seems to be:

1.  he has Duke replacing Virginia as a 4 seed, Virginia falling to a 5.

2.  he has IU on the 4 seed line.  Seems to think that the only argument could be Iowa State being on the 4 seed line since they were a 3 in the reveal (my note: Iowa State was 2-5 since the reveal -- it was against 7 Q1's, but that's a lot of losses),

So in essence, it seems to me he thinks that the winner of Duke/Virginia would get the 4 seed and while he doesn't see IU falling to a 5, if they did it would be Iowa State moving up to a 4.

He also says Sunday results will be disregarded in seeding and that Saturday results may or may not be.....said last year it was evident the Saturday results were ignored but that there have been past committees where they were not.

Will the committee make a conscious effort to avoid in state opponents early? I’ve seen predictions of a Drake/Iowa State matchup in the first round.  Personal opinion, that would be a nice matchup

No they will seed it geographically.   If Drake is the highest 12 seed available then they get the region closest to them as long as the bracketing principles apply.    If that region has Iowa st in then they will match them up.

Illinois whole resume rest on neutral court wins against Illinois and Texas.  Goods ones to have but 2-11 in Q1. I will not be surprised if they are on the 10 line even though most have them 8 or 9

I'm guessing you meant UCLA. There's some times I'd love IU to play IU, especially the going through the motions version. Easy quad 1 win.
