So do you think in two to three yearswe can compete with teams like this? Granted beilein is likely a top three coach in america but still. I think we are two years away at least

I’d think so. People seem to think that because we’re bringing in talent we’re bringing in the kind of talent Duke or Kentucky does that can make a roster turnover instantly competitive. The foundation for Archie’s program are currently freshmen, three of whom are injured and one who will leave after this year. It’s going to take a couple of years for all of the pieces to fill in and develop.

Crazy how bad Juwan and even Romeo has been around the rim today and this isn't necessarily out of hand. I feel decent given Morgan and flopping 4 point blank buckets. Give us 8 more points and this is not hateful. It's Romeo time!

Agree. Progressive improvement within season and year over year so far. Team is showing ability to learn, coach showing ability to coach - like they should

Yea, it's becoming clear that this is a multi-season rebuild. The really frustrating part is that it's difficult to really evaluate the progress.  In general, the Crean recruits haven't shown much improvement. Is it the coaching/style of play, or are they just not good players?  Same goes with the Miller recruits - so many injuries have made it hard or impossible to know how good they are.

All that said, I believe we are markedly better than last year.  Just not near where we should (or could) be.

Yeah its just frusturating and the patience required is crazy given all the rebuilds we have had to go through in the last 20 years

The injury bug hit this team hard. IU will be alright in the coming years. Some of you need to take a deep breath and breathe
