It's too bad McRoberts has absolutely no offensive skills. The dude plays hard and brings it every game, but he just can't score. If he could shoot, he'd average 15 points a game -- if not more.

They also have Young top 100. Bates Diogo composite was 29. Davis who isn’t playing was 40. Rojo was 49. Tate is top 60. Morgan was 117. If we are comparing on paper it isn’t that close prior to this season. 4 year 5*? Not often. Also, Crean was fired because he couldn’t recruit to win anymore. OSU couldn’t win with top 5-10 classes under Matta.

OSU is playing better with the talent they have than us, but their talent on paper was easily better than us going into this season.

Disagree that OSU has a better roster on paper. Almost a direct match.

You make a good argument for Holtmans ability here though.

More to the point. Our players aren't playing to their paper ranking anyway. OSU is and maybe better.

Next year could be good, especially if we get Romeo, not gonna get my hopes up there though, but they add a capable PG, couple decent shooters, drop some dead weight. Add a couple capable big guys and I think they'll compete at a high level. They'll likely get Morgan back IMO, a 6 foot 7 inch power forward with a lacking long range jumper doesn't make GM's mouths water anymore.

This team is not far off. If they could simply hit some wide open shots. My Daughter 7th grade team hits more open shots.

A thinly veiled shot at Newkirk's production.  Dakich singing Green's praises, right up until he takes the worst shot in IU history.
