Yet you did not provide his team's seed in any of those tournament years. And you only used years from Arizona, he had a heck of a run at Xavier as well. Sorry if I am belittling you, not intended. Just not a fan of today's hot take culture because it normally comes without any statistical backing. I promise I have facts to back my opinions. Same as most people. I just believe in brevity. Nobody reads long posts or emails. Anyway, you're absolutely entitled to your opinions. Same as everybody else. Name calling is never ok, nor does it show intelligence. Quote

You're right name calling is never okay. Which is why I have never called you a name. But seriously, Sean Miller is not a TERRIBLE coach. Could you argue maybe overrated? Eh, possibly considering he has had talent but not a final four. But like others have said, its a crapshoot. And four elite eights, with two different programs is pretty dang good. He's probably not elite, but it's a reasonable argument to make that he is just under the elite category. However, I would say unreasonable to state he is a TERRIBLE coach. While you may never have called names, you certainly did attempt to belittle me by saying I'm not interested in facts. I don't want to sound like I'm offended because I'm not. And maybe I'm going hard on you when yours wasn't even terrible. I've seen a lot of posters belittle other people's opinions on here lately and it's really frustrating. I wish that would stop. Bobman1 Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 I don't understand the condesention and name calling by people on here lately. It's frustrating. I can give facts too. In 2011, Miller finished first in his conference but bowed out in the Elite Eight. That was his best performance in the NCAAs. In 2012, he missed the tourney. In 2013 he finished 2nd and made the Sweet 16. In 2014 he finished 1st and lost in the Elite Eight. In 2015 he finished 1st and lost in the Elite Eight In 2016 he finished 3rd and lost first round. In 2017 he finished 1st and lost in the Sweet 16 In 2018 he finished 1st and list in the first round. You think he's a good coach because of regular season results. I think he's a poor coach because he falters in the tournament so much. You're so dug into your opinion that you belittle anybody else with a different opinion. Good for you, I don't go like that.Just curious, what do you think of Tony Bennet then?Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Rico 1 Quote

mdn82 Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Classic NCAA. Pounce on Zona while the sacred cows go unharmed.I am pretty sure this is separate from the investigation. Them and Louisville are going to hurt. I don’t see Kansas getting much. Honestly I got Louisville taking the brunt of this. They were already on probation before this. I think they get a multi year tournament ban, reduction in scholarships, and drastically cut recruiting ban. If I were a betting man that’s what I think they get. I think Zona gets a one year ban and reduction in scholarships. I also think Sean Miller will get it the worst of any active coach. Maybe a full season ban or something like that. I think Pitino gets a five year show cause. That’s a lot of predictions, but it will be interesting. I don’t see any way these schools go unpunished.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Class of '66 Old Fart, Stuhoo and ALASKA HOOSIER 3 Quote

Only does what it has too when it’s hand is forced. Backs down when pushed and taken to the mat. Hope you’re right, and that all caught up in this with any egg on their face have to pay the piper. Right now, my money is just on AZ. Quote

Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app I will say down in this area (near Louisville) the feeling is pretty much that the worst is over... None of the coaches or assistants are left, none of the players are left, the president is gone, the banner is gone, they have been on scholarship reductions... Yes not all of this is FBI related but the punishments happening concurrently is basically the argument. Quote

Yes not all of this is FBI related but the punishments happening concurrently is basically the argument.I believe that’s normal though. We thought when Sampson quit it was over here too. I keep seeing how lazy the enforcement is. I think people forget it’s not laziness. It’s lack of ability to prove wrongdoing or get people to talk. They have the FBI doing their work for them. Coaches can’t lie against wire taps or court entered statements. All a coach had to say to compliance prior is I don’t want to talk to you. I provided the minimum. The reason Louisville isn’t close to done is they lied to investigators. That’s where we got hammered. Except we had to change a culture. With Pitino “retired” I think they drop the show cause penalties on him and give them a couple of years. Miller on the other hand has lied multiple times to investigators and on tv. Then he has assistants getting fired and pleading guilty. I think they make an example of a top not elite program. I just can’t see the hammer dropped on Kansas.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Str8Hoosiers 1 Quote
